This place is complete trash. Bought a suit online, took off the tags to try on the pants. The tags are in the most inconvenient to try them on. Pants were too tight. Attempted to return them, and the store will not take them back. They have a terrible return policy and their rationale is laughable. I'd avoid this store at all costs. read more

I had an online order of shoes I was trying to return because they're not right for what I need. I was immediately accused of wearing them and then returning. I will not be back. For a dying retail venture to immediately go there was gross. I was told "I don't want to lose my job for taking them back". Just an awful place to shop. To this day they still do not have CARRIGES for shopping. How do they expect people to want to shop when they have to carry everything they want. Not at all practical. The music is absolutely awful in the store and makes it torturous to shop. Why on Earth would they pipe ridiculous music that's loud and obnoxious. My only thought is they don't want you to shop in the store. God help the employees. I'm sure has negative affects on people. read more

I had given them 2 stars..yeah, no, zero if I could. Grey haired woman at customer service is quite possibly the most abrasive woman I have run across. Purchased a chair from the take it with you. What an ordeal. I asked her if we should bring the chair over to pay or if someone would help. She tells me to go to the furniture department. I go there and ask, the girl told me no, the take and go gets paid at a regular register. Bring it to the closest exit regester. The gray haired lady gets snippy that I have to bring it to furniture. She acts like I lied to her when I told her they told us to bring it to a register. Keep in mind, heavy chair, husband with bad back, no help from anyone moving. My husband's patience is now at zero. Gray haired lady chews out young girl in furniture in front of us. Husband walks out "to move the car" really to cool off. They struggle with the computer, gray haired lady blames me that she gets nervous when she is yelled at. I never raised my voice once. She is standing 6' from me does she think I'm deaf? If this chair was not exactly what I wanted I would have walked out. Finally go to pay she never gave me my Bronze member points. Lots of eye rolling and left without them being added to my account. Still no offer of help. You cannot tell me they bring everything out on the floor by hand carrying it. They do not have a single thing with wheels to bring this to the curb for us? Hubby was so upset. Do not worry guys I will not be back. Looks like a lot of people have said the same thing as every time I go in here it is a ghost town. Didn't want to bother with the manager. I cannot see it being worth it as it they are only hurting themselves. I'll continue to go to their Dartmouth location where it is a lot cleaner and has nicer products. read more

Macy's occasionally has decent clothes on sale. I usually shop there for my youngest, elementary school aged child. I did recently buy my high school son a pair of $90 jeans there. Shipped them off to Italy to him & this morning he sent me a pic of the anti theft monitor still on. So he'll be shipping it back, with receipt to be removed & I'll be shipping it back. At this rate I should just return them. I bought a few tops there for a new job & also had to bring them all back to have those taken off. It's bad enough having to return, but then locating help while in the store is even worse. Wandering through what appears to be a store with very few employees & shopping here has become a huge chore. read more

Really great customer service today in the watch department. Bought a pretty nice watch here a few months back, and a piece of the bracelet broke and was lost. The girl went out of her way to try and fix the watch which was beyond repair, and I ended up leaving with a brand new MK watch! I was so happy because my luck with things like this is usually terrible. A+ for hooking it up today! (4 stars because its in the Kingston mall, and the mall itself is just sad.) read more

I have recently become a patron of Macy's since they're relatively new in town replacing Jordan Marsh. I've been sorely disappointed in the quality of their merchandise. Yes, they have name brands however you can tell these brands make products specifically for Macy's, lowering their quality and cost. JM May have been pricey but at least their name brands were name brand quality. Case in point, I purchase Ralph Loren pants, a year later the derrier ripped (I'm not a large man). At about the same time I purchase some Bostonian shoes, a year later my toe went through the side. This past December I thought I would take a chance on purchasing a name brand I'm well familiar with, Florsheim. I've previously bought this brand and the shoes lasted me for years. This time around they lasted three months before the heals fell off and I used these shoes lightly. I noticed shortly after I purchased them, that the quality may not have been so good (you can tell if a product will last looking at the overall quality ( fit and finish), Well hello China! Macys' at the Independence mall in Kingston, Ma is much like a rummage sale. All clothing is bunched up and way over priced. Most importantly the clothing is horrible. Whoever the buyer is has no style, taste or even the slightest idea of what is quality and fashionable. Also there are never any sales clerks around. You have to wander around from department to department to find someone to wait on you, I do shop here occasionally but it is a tiring chore. read more

This was horrible. I am a 56 year old sales manager for a cell phone company. I went in to buy my wife a Silver rope chain necklace and matching earrings for Christmas tonight. No one on one side but I had to walk right past 2 sales ladies having a lovely chat as I was trying to find the merchandise. One inside and one outside the display. I finally found the necklace on a locked tabletop display. Over $200.00 just for the chain and I hadn't found the earrings yet. I had it on my finger. I'm standing there staring at them. No one will acknowledge me. Finally the one crosses over and comes into the area where I'm standing. Good enough right? WRONG. She looks at me and walks the other way. then starts to walk out of the box again toward her buddy but then a man and woman well dressed start to walk up to that other side. "Well Hi folks can I help you with anything?" "OH HELL NO." One nice young lady at the make-up counter could tell I was hot as I was walking out. I told her what happened. She asked if I wanted to see a manager and I said best to just let me go. I have over 2000 followers on FB. I will do more harm to their sales than they did to my ego. Goodbye MACY'S.
