Macrocenter is an excellent grocery store for finding non-Turkish items. Sure, it has everything…read moreyou'd find at Kim/Bim/Şok, but the prices on Turkish items are just slightly higher than at those places. The real reason to come here is for ingredients and products that you just can't find anywhere else. They have Mexican items, including queso, shells, tortilla chips, and sauces, as well as Asian items, including wasabi, soy sauce, and sushi. They even have a pork section; of course, a lot of these things you have to be willing to pay for, but quite a few of them are very reasonably priced, especially for bottled sauces. My personal favorite is Frank's Red Hot, which I use to make buffalo sauce. If you're an expat looking for something from home to make your favorite dish, check it out, because you might find what you're looking for.

They also sell fresh Turkish delight that you can buy by the kilo, dried figs, Turkish coffee, apple tea and more. The pistachio Turkish delight with halva is delicious or try the pomegranate Turkish delight.

Kind of stupid idea and an even more stupid name. They are trying to be something they're not over…read morehere, and the price tag is a bit outrageous. The thing that really bothers me is that they are cooking/grilling/frying stuff inside but there's no ventilation, so the whole place is a bit smokey. Also the atmosphere is stressful, what with aristocratic types letting their children scream and run wild. Lots of noise, lots of commotion. Won't be back.
