Located next to the new location for A Modern Line on Florida Ave, this tiny shop has a great selection of vintage clothing and accessories for both men and women. The Owner definitely has an eye for knowing what vintage clothing would still look awesome today. In addition, the owner and her Mom have a whole 'upcycle' section, where they have taken used clothing and altered them in little ways to make them even cooler and more unique. I bought a jean vest that they put a new back panel and matching pocket trim on and I LOVE it! The store is also having events to encourage the community to stop by - this Saturday night they are having a block party with beer, wine, and hot dogs. Previously they had an evening nail art party. I have visited this branch more often with my mom since the one in Tampa Palms City Plaza closed down. Since I am a single heterosexual man, I can not clam to be a clothing maestro. However, they have a wide selection of brand names and regular brands and many of the items look nice and are in good condition compared to Ross which always looks like a Category 3 hurricane swept through there. Last Christmas, my cousin from Canada came with me and she was awestruck by the prices and quality. They have those "MK- (Mortal Kombat purses) for prices in the $175-200 range.I believe those are usually in the $250 range. While the men's section does have a good range of products, they don't get me excited as much as items from JC Penney and Kohl's. So I usually find a spot to kill time while others shop. The lines are very long sometimes on weekends, but the cashiers are usually nice. If you want to open a Stein Mart card, the application is long and they send you a plethora of emails. FYI. If you're a woman, increase the rating to 4/5.

Extremely disappointing experience with Couture USA. I was VERY upfront about the condition of my…read moreLouis Vuitton bag and submitted numerous detailed photos showing the wear, including close-ups of the hardware and the hot-stamped initials. After reviewing these photos, they gave me a quote and asked me to send the bag in. Once they received it, they declined it, citing the initials that were already clearly disclosed and alleged "corner wear." When I questioned this, the representative was dismissive and told me "the wear is worse in person." I strongly disagree. This is a used luxury bag with normal signs of use, including wear to plated hardware--not a brand-new bag--and I had already made a point of documenting the wear in my photos. Even worse, their "free" shipping label does NOT include insurance, which is absurd when customers are sending luxury items worth thousands of dollars. I paid to insure the shipment myself, and when they declined the bag, they refused to cover insurance for the return. I had to pay another $65 to have my own bag safely shipped back. I ultimately lost about $120 in this process, despite being completely transparent about the bag's condition from the beginning. I understand that quotes can change after an in-person inspection, but rejecting a bag based partly on issues that were clearly disclosed before shipment is incredibly frustrating. Between the lack of insurance, unnecessary expense, and dismissive customer service, I will never sell to Couture USA again and would strongly caution others before sending them a valuable luxury item.
