After just THREE one hour classes I feel better/tighter/more energized. My co-workers and I took class with both Nikole and Dirk and they were both excellent! Being that I am a complete newbie to Crossfit they took extra time to explain terminology and how to safely execute every exercise. I was afraid of Crossfit before now but I can hardly wait to take my next class! It IS challenging but I feel results already!! Crossfit combined with a better diet are bound to get me where I want to be with my personal physical fitness goals. I'm a big guy (6 foot 4, 260 lbs) and I managed to survive class! My ultimate goal is to tone back up and trim back down to about 220...I'm confident the combination of exercises & cardio/weight training done in Crossfit will get me there. Oh - and I am a HUGE dog lover...it was so much fun having a huge, beautiful, sweet dog greet me when I first walked into the studio! Madison is lucky to have this studio here.

The entire workout consists of jogging and running on the treadmill, rowing, and doing weight lifting exercises and stretches in the weight room. They are month-to-month so you are not locked into a long term contract, however there are some intricate rules with the month-to-month membership. I enjoyed seeing my heart rate and results on the monitor and use my heart rate monitor from OTF at my other gym to log my workouts. I would recommend this business and location to anyone. They have very energetic, positive, and supportive instructors and the atmosphere is overall quite nice. The main reason I discontinued my membership was because I already have another gym membership that offered interval training classes, so I didn't need an extra membership. Otherwise, I probably would have continued!

I thought I'd just sign up and attend classes and get thrown into the proverbial deep end of the pool. NOPE! These guys want to keep you safe and have you stop by for a training/orientation class. Then there's a 2 week On Ramp Class that eeducates you on the moves, names, expectations and so forth. Of course, if you've got prior CrossFit experience they move you along but it's nice to come in with a bunch of unexperienced people and learn together so you don't have to get all intimidated by what others know or do. The process of growth is left to your determination and involvement. There's a good mix of girls/guys in my class and in other classes. I tried it out to keep myself busy with domething different so I don't just stop working out completely and guess what... I intend on signing on for a longer period to work on my abs and arms. Will update more after my On-Ramp training process. SIdebar: we do a lot of squatting. It seems to be the bases of CF. idk. But my heiny is rock hard enough.

I work and live nearby and can hear the trainer yelling over the speaker system from over a block away. I can't imagine how loud it is in that little gym. Now that it's the type of weather where we can sleep with the windows open, myself and some of my neighbors don't appreciate being woken up by the idiot screaming early in the morning. One of my neighbors is getting so annoyed by it that he is considering calling the police to file a noise complaint. Until then, it's a one-star review for you purely based on the noise pollution.
