First saw this place while we were walking to our hotel. We were a little skeptical of it at first; it was completely empty when we showed up and the waiter seemed a little nervous. First impressions aren't always right, though, because as soon as the appetizers came out we realized what a gem this place is. Great music, attentive waitstaff, and gorgeous restaurant. Probably the best Italian we've had in Mexico! The portions here are strait Italian, and family style for sure. The lasagna could have been shared by two as a solid meal, or as a portion to 4 people who were also sharing their entree. I had the lemon pasta, it was delicious, and there was TONS of sauce. It was enough that my noodles were covered completely, and I was able to dip the bread in the sauce at the end. And for the grand final we had the deliciously light Panna cotta! This right here was a wonderful suprise- between the compte, berries, and the cotta there was a wonderful caramel aftertaste that really hit the spot. Also there was live music while we were there, staff was friendly, the menu is online and in English and Spanish. Super delicious! In fact we have both placed it on our list of "must go back" in our Los Cabos journal. read more

Yum yum yum! Italian food in Cabo! Cute restaurant, you could be seated inside or outside. Friendly & great service. The neat thing is that you can special order everything. The menu had a shrimp risotto, we asked if it could be changed to chicken, thinking they would say no, and they said yes! Delicious Pina coladas! We made our own pizza & we added chicken to the carbonara! The servings are huge and very reasonably priced. We will for sure go back again! read more

The food was ok. My fiance had a pesto and i had a carabonara fettucine and it had really salty crunchy bacons in it. It came with side of two slices of baguette bread and rosemary and some grated parmasean cheese. My fiance said his pesto had really strong basil taste but also they had put more extra cooked basil which made it too flavorful with basil. Carabonara was heavy and blend creamy base sauce it had some slices of well done hard bacon bits. They had many different shapes and types of pasta and noodles to choose and the extra meat or topping had different options but they charge extra. They had good limenade though. read more

Came here so my wife could get a break from tacos & ceviche and hopefully find something to satisfy her seafood pasta craving. A quick review of the menu and conversation with our waitress told us that craving was going unfilled tonight. No worries, we are both pasta lovers and settled on the fettuccini alfredo (her) & rigatoni Bolognese (me). Our first clue that this wasn't going to be a straightforward pasta meal should have been the abnormally long wait to get 2 pasta dishes from a pasta bar with 8 noodle choices & about as many sauces. I would have guessed the precooked pasta would have been dropped in some hot water and tossed with already warm sauce to complete the "cooking" but in the time we waited both dishes could have been made from scratch. Finally the food comes out. The fettuccini alfredo was clumping together like you'd expect from your 3 day old Olive Garden pasta. My rigatoni was cooked well but the sauce was on the cold side of warm as soon as it hit the table. It was topped with shredded parmesan cheese which didn't even make an effort to melt on top. We both ate about 1/2 our dishes (they do have generous portions) and waited for a server to come back to ask for our check. Service was inattentive. We ordered water to drink, placed a food order when water was brought out, food was delivered, and we had to call a different server for our check. Those were the only 4 interactions we had. Drinks were never refilled & nobody came by to ask about the food once it came out. On the way to the car we talked about the time it took to prep pasta and the food temp when it arrived. I made a comment that I hoped I wouldn't get sick from a meat sauce that probably wasn't kept at a food-safe temperature. Next time you are in Los Cabos, I encourage you to check out Michael B's Tarot Cards & Fortune Telling because I totally foresaw what was coming next. 2 days later, my lower GI tract is still reminding me I should have stuck with tacos. read more

This place was very nice. Right down the street from the Cabo Azul hotel. We were greeted by a lovely lady. The breeze was amazing as they kept the front doors open. Music was really nice. The entire inside of the restaurant is super cute. Prices very reasonable especially with the amount of pasta you're getting. The Macca salad I ordered was very delicious, I really enjoyed it. It was so crisp and fresh and I loved all the flavors together. Blended together nicely. The pasta was delicious, everyone in my family had something different and we all enjoyed our dishes. We also ordered the Nutella pizza for dessert which hit the spot. It was a little over cooked on certain areas however it was amazing! Our server was José. He was very nice. He was very well mannered. He kept our glasses filled with water. Our tab was brought to us in a mini bird cage which I thought was super cute! This is a very cute restaurant with a friendly wait staff. However the food is just ok. I had pasta with tomato sauce , basil and shrimp. The pasta was over cooked, the parmigiana cheese melted into clumps in the pasta. The worst was the shrimp which were , I believe, the frozen variety and were tiny and tasteless. The basil was fresh. Iced tea was expensive - my tea and one bottle of water was as expensive as my husbands uninspired salad. read more

I ordered the focaccia bread. Delicious with the oil and balsamic vinegar. We also ordered the cheeseboard which has six or so cheeses that were also delicious. For dinner I ordered a stuffed crust pizza and had bacon and chicken and basil. I told my husband it was supposed to have arugula but he said basil. It was very good except if you'd listen to me it would've been better with the arugula and not the basil. Highly recommend the stuffed crust pizza. Also highly recommend the Nutella pizza dessert as well as the churro dessert. read more

The only pasta that my mouth wants to make love to. I ordered Farfalle pasta with Alfredo sauce. I added spinach mushrooms chicken and shrimp. It was cheesy from the manchego cheese and creamy. I washed it down with a cucumber mojito which was refreshing for the warm night time air. Service was so perfect I came back the next night to order spaghetti with Bolognese sauce and added spinach and had the same cucumber mojito which was spot on. They always end the meal with mini chupa chups lollipops which was a bonus. I would have loved to try the pizza seeing that they have an authentic brick pizza oven in the back. Loved this place! Sat outside, the weather was beautiful and the patio is nice. I got shrimp and pesto penne pasta. My husband got the four cheese with avocado bacon and tomato. Mine was good, but his was heaven. The bowls the pasta came in are big and you'll definitely get your money's worth. A nice big portion. We also shared the Nutella pizza for dessert. The pizza crust is almost like a giant tortilla. Thin and unleavened. Really good! Service was lovely. Highly recommend! Location was easy to get to, right next door to the Hyatt Ziva. read more

Lovely find! The service was attentive and top-notch, up there with finer dining experiences. We sat outside in the patio at a high top table. Son #1 had a made to order pasta, son #2 had a pesto pizza, hubby had a monstrous chicken soup, and I had a green salad. Everything was delicious and we almost licked the plates clean. The pasta at Macca is delicious! There are many choices but I was very happy with what I picked: rigatoni, ancho reyes sauce (SO GOOD), mushrooms, ground beef, and Parmesan cheese... yum! The service was great, very friendly people, and we enjoyed sitting outside. We also got a great bottle of Malbec wine and the churro basket with ice cream for dessert. This restaurant was the perfect break from tacos and burritos :) I was surprised that it was not very busy for a Saturday night, but I would definitely go back again and would highly recommend it if you're looking for an Italian dinner. This little pizza and pasta joint on the Malecon just opened up a week or two ago and already we've been here twice. Really good thin crust pizza with a wide range of toppings to make your own, same with the pasta. Good wine selection. If you are looking for a change from Mexican fare, or want to get away from the buffets at your resort, and hear some nice live music (Alonso y Alonso are there two evenings a week) then this is a great option, and inexpensive too. read more
