Is it normal to be charged 16% IVA?
Wenge L.

I was only charged 16% IVA at this restaurant, not at any other restaurants, can anyone help me out with this charge?

Lasagna big enough for 2 people

Probably the best Italian we've had in Mexico! The portions here are strait Italian, and family style for sure. The lasagna could have been shared by two as a solid meal, or as a portion to 4 people who were also sharing their entree. I had the lemon pasta, it was delicious, and there was TONS of sauce. It was enough that my noodles were covered completely, and I was able to dip the bread in the sauce at the end. And for the grand final we had the deliciously light Panna cotta! This right here was a wonderful suprise- between the compte, berries, and the cotta there was a wonderful caramel aftertaste that really hit the spot. Also there was live music while we were there, staff was friendly, the menu is online and in English and Spanish. Super delicious! In fact we have both placed it on our list of "must go back" in our Los Cabos journal.

Pasta So delicious. Best chocolate cake ever. Drinks are yummy. Service excellent. Enrique was a great waiter. We will be back.

This place was very nice. Right down the street from the Cabo Azul hotel. We were greeted by a lovely lady. The breeze was amazing as they kept the front doors open. Music was really nice. The entire inside of the restaurant is super cute. Prices very reasonable especially with the amount of pasta you're getting. The Macca salad I ordered was very delicious, I really enjoyed it. It was so crisp and fresh and I loved all the flavors together. Blended together nicely. The pasta was delicious, everyone in my family had something different and we all enjoyed our dishes. We also ordered the Nutella pizza for dessert which hit the spot. It was a little over cooked on certain areas however it was amazing! Our server was José. He was very nice. He was very well mannered. He kept our glasses filled with water. Our tab was brought to us in a mini bird cage which I thought was super cute! This place is a must if your in San Jose Del Cabo!

I ordered the focaccia bread. Delicious with the oil and balsamic vinegar. We also ordered the cheeseboard which has six or so cheeses that were also delicious. For dinner I ordered a stuffed crust pizza and had bacon and chicken and basil. I told my husband it was supposed to have arugula but he said basil. It was very good except if you'd listen to me it would've been better with the arugula and not the basil. Highly recommend the stuffed crust pizza. Also highly recommend the Nutella pizza dessert as well as the churro dessert.

Pasta with greygoose sauce mushrooms spinich sweet corn peppers and shrimp!

So good!! I built my own pasta with camerones spinach mushrooms sweet corn peppers parmesan and the grey goose sauce. It was creamy with a touch of spice. I highly recommend it!

Farfalle with Alfredo sauce with mushrooms, spinach, chicken and shrimp. Cucumber Mojito! Yum!!
Rox D.

The only pasta that my mouth wants to make love to. I ordered Farfalle pasta with Alfredo sauce. I added spinach mushrooms chicken and shrimp. It was cheesy from the manchego cheese and creamy. I washed it down with a cucumber mojito which was refreshing for the warm night time air. Service was so perfect I came back the next night to order spaghetti with Bolognese sauce and added spinach and had the same cucumber mojito which was spot on. They always end the meal with mini chupa chups lollipops which was a bonus. I would have loved to try the pizza seeing that they have an authentic brick pizza oven in the back. If possible I would eat here every day I am in San Jose Del Cabo

This spot is a bit inconspicuous, but with maps we were able to find it. From the outside you would never expect such a warm and inviting dining atmosphere. The lush plants and open roof add to the ambience, with an old-world Italian vibe inside. Our waiter, Oscar, was so friendly attentive throughout our dining experience. I had made mention in the reservation about it being my fiancés birthday, but had stepped away and mentioned it to Oscar to ensure they could sing happy birthday to him. We started with drinks, an Aperol Spritz for me and The Godfather for him. Mine was light and refreshing, his was strong and definitely did not skimp on the alcohol. We enjoyed the bread service, which was a delicious crispy loaf accompanied by olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. For our entrees, we ordered the Mama's Sunday Gravy (with an extra meatball) and the Grilled Prawns. Their entrees are all very large and are intended to be served family style. I ironically do not like pasta, so that's why I opted for the grilled prawns as it's one of the few items on the menu that does not have pasta. My fiance thoroughly enjoyed Mama's Sunday Gravy, stating it was one of the best Italian dishes he's ever had. He's even vacationed in Italy and grew up in a half Italian household, so that's saying a lot. He thought the sausage and meatballs were both packed with flavor and had the perfect consistency. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich without being overpowered by herbs. True to form, the entree was so large that he ended up taking half back to the hotel for lunch the next day. The grilled prawns were okay. I found the to be overcooked, but when the pesto was added, it was a nice bite with the crustini. At the end of our meal, Oscar and a few of the other waiters came to our table, delivering a delicious duo of cannolis and sang happy birthday to my fiance. Although we were both stuffed, we managed to split one of the cannolis and took the other to-go. The cannolis were so good, and I'm not a huge fan of cannolis. The shell was thin and packed with a delicious filling. The nut and chocolate chip mixture added a great texture and flavor contrast. This was a perfect way to celebrate my fiancés 40th birthday. Thank you Oscar and the rest of the staff at Salvatore G for making it such a special night. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

The live music was fantastic and added so much to the overall vibe. From a setting standpoint, it's hard to beat. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the ambiance. The menu was extremely limited and incredibly overpriced. There were no kids' options at all, which was surprising given that they have such a great activity area clearly geared toward families. We ended up ordering a $40 USD pizza for our 6-year-old -- which feels absurd. I make pizza at home on our Ooni that's just as good, if not better, for a fraction of the cost. It's hard to justify those prices, especially without a smaller or kid-friendly option available. The least expensive glass of wine was $32 USD, which felt excessive. We also happened to visit during a seasonal menu rotation that heavily featured tomatoes, capers, and pork -- three ingredients my wife (whose birthday we were celebrating) doesn't care for. Unfortunately, they don't publish their menu in advance, so we didn't know this until we arrived. To their credit, our server recognized we weren't thrilled and brought over a manager who was very kind and professional. He offered to buy my wife a glass of wine and send over ice cream for our son. However, our son has a nut allergy, and we were told that every flavor made onsite could be cross-contaminated with nuts -- so he wasn't able to enjoy that gesture either. It's disappointing because this is a place that appears to cater to families, yet it feels both difficult and very expensive to bring children here. The setting and atmosphere are beautiful, but for us, the value and overall experience just didn't match the price point.

My girlfriends and I ordered four Mexican breakfast in different forms but they are just very clever ways of making tacos into breakfast items. I have recently remet up with my girlfriends who gushed about our breakfast expedition at this place. Everything was wonderful but the most pronounced characteristic about this breakfast menu is how something so simple can taste this good. The concept is easy to replicate - taco with bacon and eggs make is breakfast and not lunch but the execution is difficult to pull it off at home because you can't get the ingredients as good as here, plus the avocado is way better Mexico. I took lots of photos about the food but I could not take the ceviche or taco home. So I finally tried to replicate the breakfast taco recently at a friend's house and it was a total winner. Imitation is the best form of flattery. This restaurant is slightly out of the way but it is worth the short walk. On the way to the restaurant, we also found great massage place and a supermarket where I picked up some Kinder eggs for friends' children back in San Francisco. Four brunches, four drinks, several appetizers and two desserts set us back $75 for the four of us. What a steal! No wonder it took me weeks before I feel justified to eat out back at home again.
