First, the setting is stunningly beautiful! It sits on the edge of a beautiful body of water with mountains on the other side and windows all around provided gorgeous views. Service was impeccable, salads were full and very fresh, our entrees were delicious, all arrived quickly. We were there too early to stay for the lovely entertainment, but we heard them warming up. GREAT experience !!!

And best fish n chips I have had in all of Cape Breton, hubby gets the Cajun fries with it, I get regular: fantastic! Don't skip the tartar sauce thinking it is just one of those commercial ones; it is homemade and served in a Very Generous amount. I like the regular fried chicken a lot, too, and hubby gets their Cajun chicken. instead. He also raves about their regular big burger platter. (Not the smashed burger, the normal one.) This place is a wonderful little find. We return here whenever we come anywhere close to Isle Madame!

The room is typical for an inexpensive motel, and we really didn't have any issues. We did pass through the restaurant but chose not to eat there, as it looked like some pretty generic food that was not appealing to us. Instead we went down to the local supermarket and picked up a roasted chicken to eat, which was perfect for us. We did have an issue with our door, where the battery basically died on the electronic lock. They had a serviceman out there immediately to replace the battery, where we then got to hear stories about how the door locks had been installed by Pat Benetar's father (he apparently owns an electronic door lock company). There is no continental breakfast offering, so you will be on your own for food in the morning. There may be food at the restaurant in the morning, but I did not check. Room amenities: - Cable/Satellite television - Mini-fridge - Free Wi-Fi
