(We have literally phoned our dog overnight and had a nurse pick up to chat). We have done puppy classes here. There have also been chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds across the past 25 years. Dr Julian Smith is the second Vet I've met and I just know he is the one. He is warm , introduced himself and answered questions. Actually the information was overload but it shows his care for animals . Daffy was having a vaccination , worming tablet. He cut her nails and trimmed her hair , Front and Back !!!! Because I asked him to. All part of the Consultaion which was $107 . Before my appointment they asked me to bring in a stool sample from Daffy and I left with a little Blue Book for her to diarise her treatments . It's a community feel inside the waiting room. The receptionist is lovely. They sell dog kibble food that is produced by a local that other customers said was cheaper than the supermarkets . They care about animals over profits .

Mylonas and O'Callaghan Veterinary Hospital...28/11/27, My cat was very ill, took her too them just…read moreafter 9:00am... waited 10 minutes or so before I were seen, she was examined by a vet who had said..."she has clear eyes, nice gum color and no fluid in her lungs on having a viral infection"...he also said before that the tablets were better than the injected anti-biotic, but I explained that she/ Meeska would only throw-up the tab later-on, he repeated himself, she was than quickly treated with the antibiotics and something else as I forgot what he said...being I were worried about her..I than tried to explained if I needed abudget, but realising what I said...I than say that...it does not matter whatever needs to be done. After he/vet had said the injections are quite expensive?! I was told to bring-her-back if she got worse? I actually thought he was going to keep her in over-night with an IV, as he said her temp was already 41 degree, if it goes to 42 she'll die, As I said thats why I'm asking, as I dont know!" I pay my bill and left with the vet opening the door for me to exit the building, by 4:00pm (when they open again)...I immediately saw my cat was getting worse...I took her too them...I drove onto there lack of car space property...in a panic...I get-out of my car with no aggressive behavior or the use of profanity...so the nurses could see me through there counter window...a short in statured nurse with tied hair comes-out from opening the sliding glass-door (as no one is aloud to wait in the pet patient room... everyone is out side in the heat)...I say "she's got worse!" The vet nurse pauses to recognize me from earlier and replies " I'll put her in the...line...Ok!"...she then says " have to find somewhere to park your car, as other cars will be coming-in with there pets..." I did not know how to reply to that insensitive remark to my distraught state...as she quickly rushes back-inside...as I had also open my car door to check the state of my cat, moaning in agony in the heat...I suddenly looked at the least 6 or more people in-front of me...(Knowing if I stayed my cat/Meeska would be dead in minutes from the heat), who were obviously more concerned about there own situations... causing me to hammer-fist my car roof, looking at my cats worsening condition in the heat...I quickly...got back in my car and drove home...and placed my beloved cat onto the bath room tile floor and gave her a syringe of 20ml of water orally. 50 minutes later she was looking alright, so I went-out for an hour...but when I get-back home I found my beloved cat dead on the hall-way floor...I tried to resuscitate her through her nose...but her neck and front legs had already stiffen from the heat after only an hour....I still can not believe she is dead...I cried for over 2 hours!!! The vets themselves are very professional! PERSONEL REACTIONS: Despite there overal honesty, there self-honesty is lacking if they are unaware of their behavior? For some female staff that I've spoken too in the past and the recent events, it's now obvious, that some of the female vet nurses, have some major Gender-issues as seeing adult males...as aggressive and domineering to get what they want, with the mind-set of ape-man...the nurses gender-typeing is to self-victomise themselves at the expense of other's to justify provocative behavior of denial of your pet's needs and treating you as a ignorant-bafoon (General human behavior if observed). You can put this to the test by panicing and behaving helpless, or if you move unexpectedly with speed...they will see what they want to see...all in there own minds. They also assume you have no money, and try to get you to empathise with them, deglaring how expensive medications are awhile verbally trevialising the importance of your pet is too you without giving you the oppotunity to make other financial arrangements if need be in this direstraints situation. This is a warning to honest single males out-there who go to this vet buisness!!

They have onsite testing facilities, hospital & boarding. The vets there actually give a damn and offer top quality care to any pets that come in. They often go above and beyond what's expected when your pet isn't 100% - especially with my cat. Often I've had to go back in and they've been a total dream. They sell foods, treats, treatments, toys and a wide variety of items. They also sometimes have kittens and cats looking for homes inside the offices and have been known to take in strays that come calling that are sick. All around you couldn't ask for more from your vet here. They also offer payment plans if your pets treatment comes to a large sum so you can make payments as you go. Best ever.

As sweet as a Vet gets…read more.. This animal hospital is situated in the semi-rural suburb of Rossmore, in Greater Western Sydney. It's the only vet in Sydney that has an Magnetic Resonance (MR) Unit that have facilities for your pet to perform an MRI scan if necessary. This is a pioneering veterinary center that employs staff who really care about your animal. I recently took my kitten here for a consultation regarding his "bad breath" which I was affectionately told was caused by Gingivitis he contracted when he was a stray, as he was born on the streets and I found him in my garage when I moved into my last house. This wasn't too concerning as he is going through his teething phase anyway where his kitten teeth fall out and new adult teeth come through - and he was prescribed a fortnights worth of antibiotics which worked immediately, and his bad breath was sorted within a day! I was very pleased with the result and the trustworthiness I felt towards the vets at Rossmore Vet, so I booked him in with them to be desexed the following week. Being the new mother of a kitten, I was of course, very concerned about my little boy's admission into the Veterinary Hospital, but I had every faith in the Vets that work there, so I felt very secure that he would be just fine. And he was! They didn't even keep him overnight, I simply dropped him off at 9am and then was able to pick him up after work at 6:45pm that evening. Delighted that he had recovered from his sedative with no issues, I left the Vet being told by the surgeon that he was one of her favourites, and everyone who worked there thought he was a little sweetie! I have since booked him in for his further vaccinations, as I am very impressed with their work ethic, employees, environment and overall vibe of this new service which I must now become accustomed to. I am just so pleased that I have found an appropriate, convenient, and valuable (value for money too - they do not overcharge you) complex within the outskirts of Inner Sydney.

If only I had not sent her to Rossmore Vet, my little girl would have been alive and celebrating Christmas with us. On Tues (20/12), my little girl went for a simple procedure of de-sexing and was discharged the next evening. We found her breathless the following morning. Rossmore Vet deny any wrong however she was bleeding internally and discharged without appropriate checks. She was the MOST beautiful, caring and gentle soul. I will never forgive Rossmore Vet - you have taken a part of me. Please be careful when you take your pet to this horrible place - they simply don't care. Look after your babies...and avoid Rossmore Vets. My fit and healthy girl had many more years to live but this right was taken away from her. How can you be so cruel and negligent in your duty of care? How can they continue to carry out their business?? I will not rest until I find justice for my little angel..... Whilst Rossmore Vet & staff enjoy Christmas, my house is quiet with silent cries and thoughts of our baby. We cry the most when our other dog cries as he misses her so much - our heart is absolutely broken. I wouldn't recommend an inch of a STAR for this awful business!!

They petition for animal rights and are actively involved in campaigns within Australia and abroad. The RSPCA's Sydney rescue centre is located at Yagoona. While it may be considered a trek for some, it is well worth the visit if you are looking for a dog, cat, rabbit, or even a horse! As an animal activist myself, I have adopted three animals from the RSPCA over the last 21 years and absolutely adore them! They all have had a funny character, personable and friendly nature and a love of family. Last year I adopted a cat from the RSPCA. I had been looking at their adoption site online and could search all the cats and kittens which were available for adoption in the Sydney region. I found a beautiful cat, but it was located in the Snowy Mountains. Despite this small setback, the RSPCA relocated her to their Sydney centre free of charge and I was able to adopt her within a few weeks! Adoption fees cost around $200 and include everything from vaccinations to the cost of purchasing the animal. The staff at Yagoona are all very friendly and have the best interests of the animals in mind. Ensuring a suitable match between owner and pet is a priority for them. There is even an RSPCA hospital located on site which is convenient for those who live close by. All the pets at the RSPCA are extra cute; we almost came back with a dog in an addition to a cat. Please keep in mind, if you are not in for the long haul, do not consider buying a pet.
