I was VERY pleased with Jennifer and her team at MacArthur Moving. They helped pack my house for our move. Jennifer was very prompt with communication and very thorough with her estimates. Her workers were courteous, helpful, treated my possessions with care, and even went above and beyond in helping us move. For example, my daughter broke a glass and one of the guys stopped what he was doing to clean it up, saying he didn't mind, so I could take care of my daughter and other things. They were also thoughtful in asking if I wanted to leave out a few things like paper plates and a few cups for us to use since we weren't moving out that day. Jennifer's team was accommodating, friendly, and hard working. They also worked quickly, and I never saw a single team member slacking! I recently put a bid on a shipping site to have a pool table moved to an upstairs room. I received many bids from ridiculously low ( which I see as a refection on the quality of their work ) to oh my god. I was about to accept a bid when Jennifer called me back. She was very easy to talk to very professional and friendly not just strictly business. There is to much competition to have a take it or leave it attitude. If you treat a customer like you have known them all your life instead of an ATM machine they WILL come back and WILL recommend you. I contacted Jennifer about helping my sister move to Gadsden. We ultimately ended up not needing the moving help but I still had to post this review. First and foremost I felt more comfortable dealing with a locally owned and operated family business as compared to dealing with a larger corporate owned business. This husband and wife team did not disappoint. Before we engaged MacArthur, Jennifer met us at the pick up location and gave us a very thorough explanation of what we needed to know for the move. These folks are so wonderful to deal with. Everything started with a FREE QUOTE! The price was hundred less than the previous 4 companies I had been in contact with. They arrived on time and went straight to work. John and Michael wrapped all my furniture up and Jennifer helped me pack the last of my clothes. Once the truck was loaded and all of my items were secured we were off to my new home. Once there, everything was unloaded in a timely manner and the beds where set up. We had a big move from Springville to Southside/Gadsden. This company went above and beyond expectations. They finished my packing for me, put floor runners down to protect the floors, put felt on all the furniture on wood floors so I could move it easily! They dis-assembled a huge entertainment center and office desk and re-assembled at new house! They hung my clothes in the closet in the new house.
