I had a great experience working with Shazi. She was incredibly knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to carefully review my paperwork, suggested important corrections, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt rushed, and she was always patient when answering my questions, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. I definitely reccomend her if you need assistance with legal paperwork. I'm very grateful for her guidance and support! read more

Shazi Rastegar helped me and my ex-husband with our amicable divorce after we became overwhelmed with trying to navigate the court system on our own. I had a very positive experience from start to finish. It's an intimidating process, but Shazi walked us through it with clarity and professionalism. read more

I had a phone consultation with Shazi. She provided me with some good advice and would recommend consulting with them.

Ms. Rastegar is a knowledgeable attorney AND adept mediator. She works well with clients experiencing high emotion situations, skillfully guiding the process and keeping the parties on track. I give her my highest recommendation. read more

I cannot recommend Shazi and her team highly enough. Grateful I found her on Yelp. From the start, she made me feel heard, supported, and truly prioritized during an incredibly difficult and emotional time. She is warm, patient, and compassionate, while also being highly knowledgeable and strategic. She explains everything clearly, offers sound and thoughtful advice, and approaches each situation proactively rather than reactively. Her depth of experience in divorce and family law is obvious, and she has a way of combining professionalism with genuine care that immediately puts you at ease. What stood out most to me was how attentive and present she is -- I never felt rushed or dismissed, and I always felt confident that my case and my well-being mattered to her. If you're looking for a divorce attorney who is not only highly skilled but also deeply human, she is exceptional. read more

We worked with Shazi, and she was the best mediator and engine for complex emotions and procedural filings, including overseas elements. Kind, patient, courteous, and professional, Shazi motivated us when needed, explained paperwork clearly, and handled everything with calm and expertise. It's made our lives so much easier. Thank you! read more

It took about 9 months to finally bite the bullet and meet up with Shazi. I don't have much experience with attorneys. However, all the reviews about Shazi are true. She is exceptional, genuine, down to earth and very caring. She tries to avoid racking up bills. She makes an attempt to keep costs low. Another endearing part which was very cathartic is her genuine honesty. Going through divorce or feeling like you have failed in life is very painful. To imagine, that you grew up in a dysfunctional family and all the pain anger and hurt you go through. Suffice to say that hearing an attorney say that unfortunately a lot of people go through this, and hearing the words "you are not alone" made me sob endlessly afterwards. That one session of consultation was so cathartic that it took away the pain of 40 years of which therapy could not resolve. It took for ever to book an appointment with her because she has a very busy schedule. So book 2 months in advance. She even changed offices so that it would be closer for us as a commute. She also responds to all her messages personally. She comes with such high recommendations. I don't think I've had such an amazing experience with an attorney as I have with Shazi. I really wanted an in person visit versus zoom because of privacy concerns and she drove all the way to meet us. What a wonderful soul! These endless 5 star reviews are true. She also shared personal stories and experiences which she didn't need to! Thank you Shazi! I wanted to add this because I forgot in my original review. I felt that she genuinely tries to push for mediation which is much cheaper for both parties. She made several attempts trying for mediation versus litigation. I felt that she genuinely wanted what was best for her clients. Just FYI, you have to pay the consultation fee at least 1 week before your appointment. She accepts zelle or PayPal. Once you book an appointment, it's my understanding that you can no longer ask her to be a mediator because she met with one of the parties involved. read more

I had a great experience working with Shazi in connection with mediating my divorce. My ex and I had a non-adversarial divorce and wanted someone who would help us through the process as efficiently as possible. Shazi was a great choice for this situation. She was very personable and easy to work with. Her mediation was fair. She also gave us good suggestions and options. I would recommend her highly for people in a similar situation. read more

I found Shazi to be responsible, competent, and flexible when dealing with my divorce. I would highly recommend her services.

After a lot of research we decided to work with Shazi Rastegar at MAC Services Group as our divorce mediator. She was extremely professional and patient with us during the long and sometimes emotional process. She walked us through all the steps and made us feel comfortable with entrusting her with all our personal information. The information she provided was straight forward and she made the process as easy as possible for both of us to understand. She was always timely when answering our many questions and was diligent about keeping us up to date as we waited for the final signatures from the court. It was a pleasure working with her and I would definitely recommend her as a mediator. Thank you, Bianca and Robert read more

Very on top of it!!!! Responds right away!!!! She makes me feel feel so at ease!!! Highly recommend

From the first interview I liked MAC Group immediately and we hired Shazi on the spot for mediation. It was a long, tough journey, but they were patient and careful with us. Service is prompt and reasonable, no nonsense. Give them a try. Thanks. read more

Shazi is beyond amazing. The entire communication process from beginning to end was very smooth and responsive. She was very clear about instructions, fees, laying out different options for us, things to consider, timelines, and everything else. Also, due to my busy schedule and frequent travels, I was unable to meet or talk on the phone most of the time. We communicated a lot using emails and google drive, and were able to get everything done without meeting in person. I will definitely recommend Shazi! read more

My (now) ex-wife and I wanted to avoid spending a lotto money on a mutual separation. Per her advice, we sought out MAC Services Group and decided to work with Shazi for divorce mediation. Shazi was professional, easy to work with and walked us through all of the paperwork. She kept everything on track and guided us through the necessary steps needed to get our divorced processed as quickly as possible. Over all, everything went smoothly and I'd definitely recommend her for mediation. read more

There's not much I can say besides what everyone else has said. Shazi is a very professional attorney. She provided me with all the information I needed to make an educated divorce. She handled everything amazingly well and her fees were fair. Some mediators charge lower fees but nickel and dime you for everything and I think Shazi's track record and fees were all reasonable and respectable. My divorce went very smooth and finished in an extremely timely matter. I might have broken a Guinness book of world records. Thank you again Shazi for your help with everything and will keep you in my contacts in the future. read more

I will keep this review short and sweet. My experience with MAC Services Group was a pleasant one (considering the circumstances) and extremely professional. My now ex-husband and I decided that we wanted to use a mediator so that we could end everything as amicably as possible. From the moment we met with Shazi to the very last email I received from her, she has been phenomenal. Her demeanor and energy is very calming and gentle which I believe made a big difference. She can almost pass for a couples counselor. Shazi is extremely organized (which I loved), kept us abreast of everything that was happening with the process in a timely manner every step of the way, and her communication skills were exceptional. She also answered all of our redundant and silly questions with lightning speed. She went above and beyond what I expected from a mediator. If you know that you want to part ways in a civilized manner and want someone who is professional, compassionate and kind to help you with the process, give Shazi a chance. You won't be disappointment. read more

My first 5 star review and it belongs to Shazi. I couldn't be happier with our entire process and outcome. Now, I rarely write a serious review...for anything. But sometimes life throws you a serious matter and you have to find someone who will take it seriously for you (and tell you to stop breaking out into nervous laughter.) Finding Shazi and MAC Services was one of my luckiest finds in L.A. Her professionalism, honesty, and clear communication (not to mention hand-holding. Metaphorically, of course. Again, she's professional) was a breath of fresh air in a smog-filled city (literally and metaphorically.) Thank you again, Shazi. I have sung your praises to many!! read more

If you are in a position to need this service, don't hesitate to go with MAC Services Group and work with Shazi. I was absolutely dreading this process, and Shazi actually made it a very painless process for everyone involved. We considered our other options: 1) Lawyers (WAY TOO EXPENSIVE), 2) Doing the paperwork ourselves (WAY TOO CONFUSING), and decided to go with 3) a mediator. It wasn't a hard decision given her glowing reviews, and only once you actually go through the process can you truly appreciate Shazi's diligence and attention to detail to get everything in order in a smooth, prompt, and thorough manner. I can't imagine having to wade through all the various parts of this without the help of an expert like Shazi. Shazi led us through each step with tremendous patience, explaining every detail and answering every question thoroughly. At no point did she rush the process and I felt that all of her guidance was truly neutral in terms of helping us make decisions. I hope I won't need to use her service again, but if I do, I'd definitely work with her again. read more

Once my ex-wife and I had made the decision to pursue mediation I interviewed a number of service providers. Most were seasoned veterans who collected a reasonable-sounding retainer up front, but who would then bill $500/hr and up for every 10-minute phone consultation and minuscule administrative task. Everything including postage, photocopying and messengers gets charged at cost with a service fee on top. The MAC model is much simpler: a fixed fee for all filings (which can add up quickly), and a set number of hours to meet and negotiate the terms of settlement. If you exceed the allotted hours they charge a very competitive hourly rate. But pricing is only one reason to go with MAC. The much greater value add was the patience, empathy and diligence with which our mediator, Shazi, handled our case. She was impartial, kind, and very helpful in explaining legal terms and process. She was also extremely helpful in moving us through the system as efficiently as possible, reminding us gently when things needed to be turned around quickly. Mediation is the smart alternative for couples with employer-based income (W-2 earners, basically) and no child custody issues. And I would highly recommend Shazi and MAC for their innovative and compassionate approach to helping people through one of life's most difficult transitions. read more

I would give MAC and Shazi more than five stars if I could. She made what could have been a horrible experience actually kind of great. My divorce was finalized (luckily) without any complications, but I'll really miss my regular interactions with Shazi. If anyone is going through a separation or divorce, they should talk to Shazi because... 1. Shazi is very compassionate and respectful of all the emotions a client is going through. She was equal parts my therapist and my divorce sherpa. 2. Shazi took the time to explain all the filings, legalese and possible actions/outcomes very clearly. Things get complicated and the paperwork gets confusing, but Shazi took the time to make sure I understood everything and what my options were. 3. Quick response time, as noted in other reviews here. She'll call or email you back right away. 4. Really reasonable rates for all the work she puts in. 5. Personal attention to detail. Shazi gave me frequent updates that she was checking with the courts to see when my case was coming up for review Quick Tip: The meters on the east side of Bixel towards 5th Street have a longer time maximum. Plus you can pick up Starbucks on the way up. Also, mention you found her on Yelp. read more

Shazi is amazing and takes great care at mediating in your best interest. She is competent, professional and has a great sense of humor which helps make things less daunting. Shazi is a really great person to work with. Great attitude and extremely well prepared. Parking can be a bit frustrating so I'm going to let you know what I did. The MAC Services Group building is on the corner of Bixel and 7th with parking. The building parking will run you $10/hr, so only use it if you are going in for consulting or something quick. There's also street parking on Bixel street. I parked at Joe's parking lot on Bixel and Ingraham for $10 flat the entire day. Good if you are going in for a full mediation. Hope this helps everyone! read more

I can't say enough about Shazi's legal services. She provided me with useful legal advice/information, and different avenues/approaches to my case. She was approachable, pleasant and understanding with my limited knowledge of the legal process and she kept in constant communication with me, which made me feel secure about the services I hired her for. We were looking for a mediator to assist us with an amicable divorce, and Mac Services did a great job. Our situation was complex enough that we didn't think a DIY approach would work. Shazi was wonderful to work with. A Divorce is not something anyone feels comfortable dealing with even if it's a mutual decision and the mediation route is taken. She was extremely thorough and unbiased during the entire process and made us both feel as comfortable as possible. Before going with her, I also shopped around many places to find out about mediation costs and process. Shazi was the only one who gave me a pretty firm idea of what it would cost on day 1 and stood true to her word and was extremely cost effective. We thank you for making this as easy as possible. read more
