I love MAC Cosmetics and I especially love this particular MAC store! I've been here many times to pick up this, that, or the other and I've always been greeted by friendly, knowledgable, and helpful employees. The customer service here is absolutely outstanding! They give great advice when it comes to choosing different shades, etc. They always spend adequate time with me and I never feel rushed. It's a very nice change from the MAC stores in O-Town, but I can't say it's really the fault of the employees in O-Town, they just don't have the number of employees needed to handle their constantly packed, small stores. For those who don't know: ~ For every 6 empty MAC containers you return, you can choose a lipstick of your choice. Very cool deal and you're helping the environment! ~ They have limited edition shades that come out, so check in often so you don't miss something awesome! ~ Their eyeliner goes on like butter! I have tried many, many eyeliners and theirs is the best! Believe it or not, it's even better than Chanel (yes, I really just said something is better than Chanel)! ~ Purchase one of their magnetic eyeshadow cases, then purchase your eyeshadows individually and you can create your own palette. I LOVE that I can do this b/c I'm not real fond of pre-created palettes. ~ Their longwear lipcolour really does last ALL day! I can attest to this 100%! MAC is awesome! Fabulous! Good value and the people are amazing that work in the stores. Online are very helpful as well. I like the recycling policy if you bring six recyclables back to the MAC store, Or any department store that features Mac, you can get a lipstick, eyeshadow, or lipgloss. It's much better than buying from the competitors and ending up with a drawer full of junk that you're never going to use. Plus you have to always spend more than the required amount to get the free gift. I urge you to try this brand. read more

I walked in because I wanted a few items... I walked around looking for them and couldn't find them and not one employee asked me if I needed any help. They stood behind the counter staring at me like I was an idiot, even if I found the items I wouldn't have purchased because the customer service that was lacking. read more

I can't believe I'm actually reviewing a makeup store...My wife shops here way more often than I would like...I should know since I'm the one who pays the bill. I know nothing about makeup, but I'm giving this store five stars because the employees here are extremely helpful and always treat my wife with a lot of respect. Just left the store. Darnell serviced me for an eye demo. Horrible customer service. He started out nice until I asked him to revisit some areas on the eye that I did not like. Apparently he did not want me to question his work. It just went down hill from there and it was clear that he just wanted me out of his chair. Poor service. Recommended no products. Mac products = GREAT! Mac store staff = very indifferent, uninspiring, sad/emo, no smiles offered, look bored-to-death, make you feel like you're interrupting their state of boredom. I like to go into the store to try on the makeup before I buy, otherwise I'd buy it online. I hated my in-store experience. It was my coveted lunch break and makeup stores should be like candy stores...with HAPPY people. These people were not happy, they made me wanna just get out of there and not spend any additional time playing with the candy. Thanks for that!! It's also a very upscale shopping center, so Mac EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT take notice, and replace them with HAPPY, SMILING, FRIENDLY staffers. I'm not going back to that store unless they are handing out ANTI-DEPRESSANTS!!! And yes, it's really mostly "that guy" that everyone keeps referring to in reviews for this store, but I didn't get his name, young black male with a very sad face. read more

Used to love going into the Mac store and buying my make up but lately they are not very friendly or helpful. After waiting a few minutes for an acknowledgement I decided it was easier to go to Nordstrom where they were much friendlier. Ended by buying more than I needed but I do love Mac's products. The time before they were out of stock of the lipstick I love and ended up at Dillard's. Now that they carry Mac in Nordstrom and Dillard's the Mac store is going to have to step it up if they want people to go there. read more

Honestly when it comes to being fitted for makeup, I'm always iffy, because it never turns out right. So one day i decided to visit the St. JOHNS Towncenter, and happened to come across a MAC store, and I met the most amazing makeup artist there. Her name is Dina. The first time I came in she helped me, and she was so nice, and her makeup skills are amazing. I got so many compliments.She is so patient, and she makes sure your happy with purchase. I was so happy with my makeup and with the service I received, that I decided to go back, months later, and to my surprise she remembered me. Now I visit this store frequently, because of the attention and quality service that I get there that I have not found anywhere else, and I have visited alot of makeup places. read more

MAC is my favorite makeup and this location has great service. FYI, at the store you can turn your recyclables for a bigger variety of items than you can at a department store. April new just what I needed. I've been mixing foundations for a long time and that gets quite expensive. She found a foundation that matched me instantly. Not sure why I never stopped by a Mac store before. She was pleasant and I bought a foundation and a powder that will let me look great in one bottle and powder. And the cost of the foundation was less than 3 bottles of Revelon that I have to buy to mix each time I run out of foundation. I had an excellent experience at MAC. I came in after my going cosmetic shipping for years, well not higher end products anyhow. And neici helped me, not sure if I'm spelling her name right. But she was wonderful! Very pleasant and informative. She helped me with my skin and finding what was right for me. I came looking for studio fix and left with multiple products. So there are a few girls at this location that are nice. Just wanted to start off by saying that. BUT, every time I've gone here... I'm always helped by the guy. Don't know his name, he never told me what it was. He's always SO extremely rude to me.. and I see in other reviews that people have had similar experiences with him. I'll be walking around the store swatching makeup products I intend on purchasing, and he'll just watch me with this "you can't afford that" or "you're gonna steal that" look on his face. I always feel really uncomfortable when that happens, so I'll end up just purchasing a few products or leaving with nothing. Most MAC employees aren't even real makeup artists with cosmetology degrees, so I don't know where this "I'm better than you" attitude is coming from, but it has GOT to go. Even the times I did end up purchasing something, I'd be standing by the cash register as he just stands there pretending to do something fiddling around with stuff.... when I can tell he's just purposely ignoring me... THE CUSTOMER. I'm always SO nice and polite to him and the rest of them, so I don't know what I even did to deserve such rude reactions from him. It's not okay. He needs to be fired. He's the only one who works there (that I've encountered) who makes my shopping experiences there 1 star. read more

Just stopped here like usual to pick up a few items for presents and myself and to return a product. I left about 10 products at the checkout counter because the guy that worked there Darnell I think (tall dark skin man) told me I couldn't return the product even though I was there last week buying the product from him. He then told me rudely to leave if I wasn't going to purchase the products I collected on the counter. He told me I was ugly and needed more makeup... And that he is the best working at Mac for over 10 yrs. they need to fire him. I've never had such an experience like this and he later treated two other people the same way. No wonder people tell me to go to another Mac store besides them. Never again will I purchase an item from that store and frankly everyone is rude in that store that it makes me not want to buy make anymore. read more

I always buy my foundation at MAC and always get the same one but this time i wanted to try a new one so a very sweet worker Brooke helped me with the application and did my makeup a little bit she even used powder and setting spray at the end. So i ended up getting the foundation and when i came home I realized i didnt like it as much, I wanted to exchange it for my old foundation and came back the next day, unfortunately something happened to my receipt or she never gave me one, Brooke wasnt there but the guy i thinn Darell is his name was there and he has seen me the day before purchasing the foundation, when i walked in he didnt even smile and acted like he has never seen me, then he called the manager to tell me that they cant exchange it for me like im trying ti steal something! And it was the same amount of exchange in money!! So i got really upset and she was like NO its MAC policy we cant do it. And gave me some stupid costumer service number that couldnt even pick up anyways when i called... Just so rudeee and not helpful at all!!! The only reason im giving 2 stars is because of Brooke. I went to the MAC that right next to them in dillards and the girls there exchanged it for me and were beyond sweet about it!! NEVER coming here again!!!! Horrible customer service from Darnell, and I couldn't complain because he was the only employee there. I certainly expected better service from this place based on location. As I walked in to the nearly empty store very excited to get some blush and stock up on much needed Mac makeup that I have run out of, my first request was simple since I already knew what shade I needed. He got it for me than as I proceed to asked him for the second item his whole demeanor completely changed as if I'm interrupting him from something important meanwhile at this point we were the only one in the store. Just to be clear my only problem with the guy was his attitude and lack of professionalism. He made it quite clear with several facial gestures and body language that he was not in the mood to be bothered, he asked me a question than cut me off while I proceeded to further communicate in regard to the product in question. I had walked in with a positive attitude and when I saw it was a guy working there I was even more excited, ladies we all know some guys are great in doing hair and giving the best makeup advice. In this case I was very wrong, this young man was quite unpleasant and I now understand why the store was deserted. This was not my first visit at that location, and I could not believe Mac would hire such individual, my best guess is this guy might also be the manager hence the reason why he was solely there. People visit Mac to buy makeup to beautify themselves and feel happy and more confident, unfortunately having such customer service left me feeling quite the opposite. No one who goes out of their way to go to a store and spend their money should walk out feeling this way. Mac Cosmetics can and should do better, as for the young man with such a personality "this is not the job nor the place for you". I sincerely wanted to compliment him on his hair at the time of my visit since my niece wanted the exact same color and it suited him quite well however things did not quite turned out that way. I decided to stop by Mac yesterday to purchase foundation. Although I've used their other products before, this was the first time I've used their foundation, so I needed some help purchasing the correct shade. I've been in this store many times, but have never had much luck getting assistance. I hoped that would be different during this visit. When I walked in there was an older woman having her makeup done and a gentleman behind the counter. I wasn't greeted by either of them. I started browsing the foundations on the wall and noticed that many had been used, so I assumed they were testers. Since it was apparent no one was going to acknowledge or help me, I started to test a few on my wrist. That's when I heard from behind me "Ma'am those are LIVE products". It took him saying it twice (rudely I might add) before I realized he was speaking to me. It was then that the woman applying makeup walked over to get something and I apologized saying I thought they were testers. She said nothing on the wall is a tester. I said I thought they were since many had been used. She said that's because customers keep testing them. Then she said he'll be with you in a minute. I decided to find the real testers but became infuriated with the way I was treated, so I walked out. The woman applying makeup said have a nice day. Now you decide to be nice? You just let a paying customer walk out. I decided to give my business to another cosmetic company who's employees don't have their heads up their rear-ends and know how to treat a customer.
