This is one of the worst establishments in the area. The owners were very hateful and the service was extremely poor.

I am working in town and stopped in at the suggestion of a friend…read more The place was almost empty. Maybe 6 of us total in the bar area and probably about that same amount in the dining area. I sat at the bar and had a couple beers. For appetizers, I asked the bartender what she liked the best. Based on her recommendations, I ordered the Pub Pretzels with Beer Cheese along with the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Dip with Tortilla Chips and Celery. Typical bar food. The Pub Pretzels and Beer Cheese looked and tasted like Auntie Anne's brand. Not bad. The Buffalo Ranch Chicken Dip was served in a disposable container. It was good, but, very mild, not spicy at all. Could have used more heat. They have an area for live music. I'm sure this place is packed when school is in session. It is next to campus. Several TV's to watch sports.

While playing is undeniably fun, expect a chaotic sea of 20-plus teams crowding the room--it is, quite frankly, a bit of a mess. The bar itself offers a respectable tap list with a pretty good beer selection on hand, anchoring what is otherwise a typical, unpretentious bar-food ambience. The kitchen, however, faltered on execution. Venturing into the black and blue salad, I ordered my steak medium-rare--though a seasoned veteran seated next to me wisely advised going rare. I should have listened; the meat arrived thoroughly overcooked, missing the mark entirely. Still, the salad itself was reasonably good, buoyed by a very interesting dressing. Between the disorganized trivia stampede and the culinary misfire, it's an establishment that ultimately falls short of a strong recommendation.

It's a sunburn ride away from Woodlawn...I definitely got that today! Our friends ordered BBQ sandwiches with slaw. No one offered them napkins, BUT I am an always be prepared kinda lady and had Charmin wet wipes in our tour pack. Ya never know! The BBQ, AMAZING! It always is. There is a campground/RV park in behind the bar and General Store. Very clean and well maintained. I've stayed there a couple of nights in the past. I've been told that on Tuesday's they have an amazing steak dinner. I've never been there for that, but I'm looking forward very much to trying it soon. Of course, in my Yelp Elite fashion, I will update my review!

The owner Mary was very accommodating to our family and always very warm and welcoming when we stopped in the store. All the campers were the same. We were tent camping but Mary let us set up in front of a rental camper so we could use the electric to charge to boat and she was even gave us access to the camper to use the restroom and wash our dishes. She ever notified us that a neighboring camper was putting their camper up for sale and was just what we were looking for. We are now considering buying the camper and having a place up there of our own.
