We dined here twice. Once on the food tour and once when we couldn't manage to bluff our way into another restaurant here in the Hötorgshallen without a reservation. Five stars!
On the food tour, we were served a plate of their handmade meatballs with mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickled cucumber. I've had IKEA meatballs - it's a Swedish tradition - but these put any thoughts of it shame. They were tender, delicious, meaty and full of flavor. The potatoes were creamy and light. The lingonberries were both sweet and tart. I'm ruined for IKEA meatballs!
The second time, I think the hostess took pity on us. We looked hungry and yes, we were. They had a roast lamb lunch with potatoes. Would we mind that? Oh, heck yeah! That sounds amazing. And with a glass of a crisp white house wine, it was absolutely bonkers. Rich, tasty and I cleared the plate. So absolutely fabulous. Oh, and not expensive at all.
Well worth your time to spend a meal here at Segers. You won't be disappointed!
