I moved to Little Rock a little over a year ago after living in the same town with the same stylist since I got my first haircut. I went to M Salon because of the good reviews and was a little nervous. I have social anxiety so meeting new people and talking to the same person for over an hour can be a little scary. I had one stylist but after she cut and colored my hair she left M Salon. I asked for a different stylist and ended up with Will. He's cut and colored my hair 3 times now and I refer to him as my stylist as I would never go anywhere else. He makes sure I'm comfortable and gets me excited about my hair. I went from boring brown to vibrant red and have gotten so many compliments. I'm kind of shy and awkward but after he's done, I get a confidence boost. I always recommend him AND M Salon. read more

Again, the cut was better that what my hair looked like when I came in. Yes it looked better. But...... it was not the style I asked for. Like I said, I thought it was cut like the pictures I showed him and I just needed to work with it to achieve that look. I realized after trying to do that, my hair was not cut properly. It was uneven in places ( in fact, I had to show him that it wasn't even around my face) . I went to Alexanders later that week to fix it and cut it like the picture I showed her. I lost about another inch to repair it. There was also an area on my left temple area that was cut too short and couldn't be blended in. I am lucky to have found Evan Jacobs at salon M! He is very detail oriented, personable, and gives a great cut every time. I get a standard guy haircut with a fade from the bottom, longer in top. Looks great every time! And it is nice that Evan takes appointments online so easy to book. Price is very reasonable. read more

Heather Fogel said she would do a cut and color last minute before I headed home from my business trip. I arrived at the salon and she was slurring her words a bit but the front desk girl seemed to act like it was normal. I explained what I wanted for my cut and color and gave her my color history as I'm always told it's relevant. She was a bit overly excited but I didn't know her so I just went along smiling. She washed my hair and started to cut and I was confused because my stylist normally starts with color. When she turned me to finally face the mirror, I see butchered hair and a wobbling stylist. That's when I realized... She was intoxicated. I was livid. I'm not confrontational and there was no one else there for me to discuss it. I also mentioned to her she completely forgot the color but nevermind. I left crying in my car as she cut off 4 inches of hair that is been trying to grow out. I called the next day and spoke with the owner who assured me I wouldn't be charged and she offered to fix my hair. I explained that I'd prefer to wait until I returned home. I understand having a bad haircut from someone without the skill level but being intoxicated is negligent especially while holding shears next to someone's face. I would never go back here. This business has made several poor excuses for their negligence and done everything to take down an honest review from a customers poor experience. They have also harassed me on social media ever since writing my honest review. Those are additional reasons I would not recommend going here. read more

I made a hair appointment 1 week ago with the Monica the owner of the hair salon... my appointment was supposed to be at 9am TODAY it is now 9:50am AND NOBODY IS HERE! I've called and texted her cell and NOTHING! i was so happy i found a salon here that does curly hair. i'm very picky who does my hair and i'm new to Arkansas so i did a lot of search finding the right salon to go to. the OWNER of the salon is a no show and didn't have to decency to call or text me! this just shows how IRRESPONSIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INCONSIDERATE Monica(the owner) is. this was such a terrible and upsetting experience. it is now going on 11:30am and i have yet to hear from her. i left the parking lot of the salon in tears out of frustration and disbelief! i had high hope for this place and after this awful experience that has been tainted. i will not be going back and i do recommend this place to anyone. for the simple reason of the salon's owner(Monica Craig) lack of professionalism. if this is the behavior that owner displays i cannot imagine her employees. read more

Had such a wonderful experience at this salon. The staff is so friendly and there's a chill and relaxed atmosphere you can hardly find anywhere else. A truly delightful mix between professional and fun. I wish I could remember her name, but our hairdresser was very knowledgeable and gave us some really helpful tips for the future. Such as, what to do in the summer when the humidity hits, and what sort of cuts would look best for our hair types. If you're looking to get a great do and meet a hairdresser you can continue coming back to, this is the salon for you. P.S: Thanks to the staff for being extra accommodating and bringing our puppy a bed and water : ) We originally brought her in a bag where she would have stayed, but they were more than welcoming and let her come out to play. read more

Kim does a great job cutting hair. However last time I was there I waited 40 minutes beyond my appointment time. Allegedly, someone forgot to tell her that she had an appointment. Today, after rearranging my schedule to try to fit in a haircut she wasn't there. Again, someone forgot to tell her. The woman who was sitting at the front desk acted like it was no big deal and went back to playing on her phone. Kim does good work, but she isn't good enough for me to be back again. read more

It was a last minute situation, but, after reading many positive reviews on Google and Yelp I decided to call M Salon. I am tremendously happy with the result! The lovely stylist Katherine was able to fit me in for an afternoon appointment. I had a vague idea of the cut I wanted and, with the help of a picture, Katherine was able to modify the cut to suit my specific needs. While I was there I mentioned the trend of modified rainbow hair dyeing and Katherine was quite knowledgeable about the process, which made me think that I might work up the nerve to try it. She was also careful to educate me about reproducing the style at home - something I am usually inept at. My hair looked gorgeous when she finished and I felt confident at the dinner that night.
