That to me was a big plus and reassured me of making the right decision as choosing him as my primary care physician. He younger than me but real down to earth and very friendly, made me feel comfortable coming in for a checkup unlike others I seen. Staff is real friendly and helpful and his PA's are top notch as well. Here lately I been seen by the PA's but I still feel at ease coming in here. There expertise has been able to get a hold of my health and I have seen an increase in my health results.

I tried to go to another local clinic before this one but I was essentially stonewalled by all the red tape that places like these seem to have. I made sure to check the website before calling and still, it claimed they do labs, xrays, etc. I felt ill, loss of appetite, and some other concerning symptoms and if you're traveling (and maybe even as a resident) it can be INCREDIBLY difficult to just get seen by a doctor/primary care provider if you don't happen to have one.... And as I've come to realize, it takes SO LONG! One local clinic (Community Action) has a MONTH long wait just for new patients. And another in corpus won't see any new patients until July!!! (It is currently March). Unless I have to be half-dead going to the ER, can no one see or help me?! I've read the Alice hospital reviews too and honestly it's just... highly concerning.... I almost feel like going to the hospital might be the only way to get seen sooner, but honestly it might just end up being just like this visit here at NextCare x.x they'll probably not take me seriously, I'll have to wait a million years, or they may not have the proper resources/equipment to help me! Since I moved from TX some time ago, I have an out of state ID and that alone is reason enough for certain local clinics to not help me or apply for certain programs they offer, and it sucks! My symptoms seemed to be worsening and persisting and I've tried to call, visit, and look up so many local clinics like this one and nothing is happening! So far, I've only been able to get some labs done... (at a different local clinic in Freer). it's such a hassle if I do even get lucky enough to get a "office visit" or whatever. Sorry if this is off track. Anyway, at this place I thought maybe they could do labs (since the website mentioned it) or maybe some other tests and that a doctor there could tell me what was wrong with me at least. But nope!!! I pretty much just came in, described my symptoms to at least two different people, and when I did finally see the doctor, she did very basic tests like taking my blood pressure and temp. I don't remember what else, but I think she measured weight too. She was one of the people I told my symptoms, but after those basic tests she essentially did nothing else but tell me to go to a primary care doctor and take suggested products, like two different over the counter meds and multivitamins. If I had known it was going to be like that, I wouldn't have gone!

This place is as simple as registering online and getting a text message 15 minutes prior to your estimated check in time. As I mentioned this place is brand new which it is super clean as well and service is fast. They take pretty much all insurances and they provide lab services as well as radiology services to. The joy of checking in and not having to wait in a waiting room with so many other patients in front of you is a joy in itself.

There is no excuse to treat people in the manner that you all feel is appropriate. He gave close friends of mine the wrong diagnosis, which caused much financial struggle in the year to follow. He has spoken badly in English to his staff about friends of mine that primarily speak Spanish; I suppose he thought they wouldn't understand, but that's no excuse. His staff will raise their voice at you if you question or suggest anything other than what they say, as though they're in a high school cat fight. There are SEVERAL other stories that others or myself have experienced. Don't waste your time here. I'd recommend making the trip to Corpus Christi, because this is the WORST medical experience I have ever heard of. Dr. Lopez' license should be revoked for not taking the Hippocratic Oath to heart, as a doctor should.

The parking lot might be a bit to small but all in all I got no complaints. As soon as you get there you sign in and give them your insurance card and blood work orders and within a few minutes they will have you in a chair ready to draw blood. Staff is very friendly as well which that itself goes a long way.
