Manny did a beautiful job of blending the skip trowel texturing on my living room walls with the new addition. Nice guy. Highly recommended!

Please DO NOT HIRE!!!!!! They also claim to be Caterers, Do…read moreyou remember the day you got married? The moment you got engaged? The feeling of being so happy, the future you had planned since you were little. You found "the one" and now your dreams are coming true. Now the wedding plans begins. Do you remember how stressful that was, or can you imagine? All the small details you have to plan and figure out. It's mostly left on the bride's shoulders, because after all the wedding day is our dream, we have dreamt of for as long as we can remember. Picking out your dress with your mom, brides maid dresses with your besties, and asking little girls to be your flower girls. Finding the perfect location is no easy task, as most book out months, if not years in advance. The guest list, OH, the guest list, we finally land on an intimate 50-person guest list. Then what kind of flowers are you going to have, music, what is the first dance song going to be, will it be inside, outside, and last but not least - what are you going to feed your guests? You want to pamper your guests, with delicious food, food that they will remember, food that will leave them wanting more. Figuring out all these details, and vendors, and help is not easy, and takes time, and preparation and of course lots of money, because everyone wants to be paid in FULL, double checking in with each, and then doing it again, and again. It's exhausting, but you know in the end it will be perfect. The day finally comes, you are crazy busy making sure everything is perfect, you are nervous, yet excited. Your mom and best friends are there with you getting ready, your hair and makeup is completed, and now it's time to see your "soon to be" for the first time. You turn around, and there he/she is - the look in their eye, the love that is exploding from them, it's a moment never to forget. Another moment I will never forget is when 30 minutes before my guests were to arrive, I find out from my wedding coordinator that my caterers Joshua Washburn and Kyla Buntin (Washburn) have not arrived. The coordinator had been calling them for several hours, only to leave voice mail after voice mail. Eventually I got thru to Joshua, for him to tell me, he thought my wedding was the next day and they were not going to be there. Left crying on the phone as he hung up on me, my best friends and little brother sprung to action, gathered money and ran to Costco and bought platters of food, serving utensils, bowls, plates, napkins, everything one might need for a last minute dinner party - not a catered wedding. Joshua Washburn and Kyla Buntin did NOT show up to my wedding. They signed a contract, took my payments and DID NOT show up to my wedding. Okay, mistakes happen, right? even though that's one hell of a mistake, and practically ruined my dream wedding, mistakes happen! So when a mistake like that happens, the RIGHT thing to do, is refund ALL the money back. Right? You make it right with your client, you just screwed up, really bad, you MAKE IT RIGHT, and refund them their money. Well, Joshua Washburn and Kyla Buntin DID NOT REFUND ME MY MONEY! Joshua admitted and said he would refund me in one email, and in the next, flat out told me he wasn't going to give me anything. Attached you will find the King Country judgement I have against Joshua Washburn and Kyla Buntin (Washburn) issued in 2012. These two are CROOKS. If you search his name on the Washington Records list, you will find over 20 judgements against him, I assume for doing the same thing to people just like me. If you don't believe me - look him up!!! https://dw.courts.wa.gov/index.cfm?fa=home.home - Search for a Person: Name Search: Accept: Put in Washburn, Joshua - and waalaa - there you have it. My judgement against him is the King Country one. I hate that it's come to me having to message his friends/family/acquaintances, my hope is, he will pay me what I am due, and that he won't scam other people out of their money. I know some of you might be angry that I am doing this, but consider if this happened to you, your daughter, your son, friend - how would you feel? What would you do, knowing that the person who scammed you out of money, and ruined your wedding was still out there, scamming others? My plea to you, his friends/family/acquaintances - HOLD HIM RESPONSIBLE for his actions! Call him, email him, visit him at his home, tell him to pay back the money the judge ordered him to pay. I have proof from the judge, and even him saying he owes me the money, but still hasn't paid a dime.

That wasn't the problem. So he got out his "leak finder" and spent about 10 minutes poking a handful of spots in my yard, and basically gave up. And then he proceeded to charge me his full price for his work, $400. I'm outraged and caution anyone not to trust John with your work. There are far better resources out there with a little research

That should have raised a flag right there. We hired this company to install a kitchen faucet, a shower head, a waterline for the refrigerator and a gas stovetop. Mike installed the faucet and shower head incorrectly. The faucet was hooked up with the hot and cold water reversed. The shower head has been leaking since installed and may be leaking into the wall. Mike would leave to get supplies and would be gone for hours. A four hour job ended up taking seven hours. Mike said he'd be back to install the other items. We didn't see or hear from him for days. We contacted John, the owner, regarding the situation. He came out and installed the refrigerator line and corrected the hot/cold water. He asked to take the instructions for the gas stove home to read them over. We hadn't heard from them for two weeks after that. Mike came by unannouced this morning and left his card in our door. When my husband called him to let him know we would not be using their service going forward and asked for the stovetop instructions back, he was told we'd get them back after we paid the bill. The whole thing was very unprofessional and John threatened to put a lien against our property. There was no signed contract and with the shoddy work that was done we do not recommend using this company. The following email conversation took place as seen in the attached photos. John Madden is a liar. We've worked with other contractors in Sequim, and the surrounding areas and never had any issues. This guy is so unprofessional. Here is an email exchange between him and my husband earlier today. John: Lying, thieving Customers get liens placed against them. John: I don't appreciate the misrepresentation, the lying, the avoidance of paying what you owe. I will be sending a bill, and if you don't know what to do with that, then you will find out what other legal ramifications that you will get. End of story. John: Cheapskate. My husband: You are hilarious...you do realize I have video cameras all over my house...including my front door...everything is recorded...so go ahead with your hammer story...I'll laugh all the way to court...when you tell lies, Karma happens. John: We have recordings of our own loser. John: An honorable man pays his debts. John: Go ahead. Take me to court, so you can prove that I worked for you. John: All for $200. Wow. My husband: An honest man doesn't lie about hammers...I'm sure glad you responded the way you did...Thumbtack is aware of this conversation...now return the instructions to my stovetop. John: I don't appreciate the misrepresentation, the lying, the avoidance of paying what you owe. I will be sending a bill, and if you don't know what to do with that, then you will find out what other legal ramifications that you will get. End of story.
