There's a large space for gatherings at the entrance of the mezzanine area, as well as a secondary access to the Angrignon platform, which allows the station to handle very large crowds from the Olympic Stadium. The mezzanine gives direct underground city access to the Stadium. The station has two exits of its own, one incorporated into the stadium's parvis, and another across the street.
Pie-IX station is located in the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve today, it not only serves the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Park, but it is also the stop for the Botanical Gardens, Olympic Park, the Biodome, the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, le Château Dufresne - Musée des arts décoratifs de Montréal, le Collège de Maisonneuve and the Olympic Village.
Every year I come, there's a lot of construction in the area, it's non stop....it's been like that for more than 7-8 years....
