I'm in my era of exploring the NYC art scene, and I saw that this gallery was having an exhibit highlighting New York City in the 80s (until December 13, 2025), complete with works from Warhol, Koons, Basquiat, Fischl, Bleckner, and more. It's a beautiful space staying true to its historic nature. The exhibit was well spaced, and I had a lot of fun walking around seeing all of the different pieces. Definitely check out the side room on the first floor for photos, press releases, and a peek to the personal lives of the artists from back then. The gallery is just a short walk away from all the shopping on Madison Avenue and from Central Park, so it's a perfect spot for a side quest if you're in the area.

We recently visited Levy Gorvy Dayan in New York for the first time, as it was conveniently located near Central Park. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made for a lovely first impression. The gallery itself is absolutely stunning--beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing. While the exhibit on display during that time of the year wasn't quite to my taste, I appreciated the opportunity to visit this art space, especially since the exhibition did not cost a thing it was free. It was a peaceful experience, as the gallery wasn't busy (we visited on a Friday early afternoon). Overall, I would've rated it 3/5 for the exhibition itself, but the warm hospitality, serene atmosphere, and the fact that it's a free exhibit bumped it up to a 4/5. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

This gem of a gallery is at the corner of East 73rd and Madison. Beautiful brick building with steps leading up to a grand door. Once in, after being warmly greeted, anticipation grows to walk through the corridor and into their three floors of bright and spacious open space. Astonished, stunned, and, intrigued I am time and time again of their exhibitions; including most recently, South Korean painter, "Chung Sang-Hwa: Excavations" and German sculptor "Gunther Uecker, Notations". CHEERS!

Fantastic space. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed Levy Gorvy. My photos of the Diane Arbus Exhibit are not posted here either. I'm trying again with this phenomenal Warhol Women Exhibit. The complete gallery is full of Warhol. Three floors of colorful paintings. Even the elevators, stairwells, and every wall are decorated. I'm enjoying immensely. They're playing great music, lively Beatles, Stones and more from the Warhol Decades. The gallery has free WiFi. Ask at the reception for the password. There's a bathroom on the first floor. Also on the first and third floor you have the opportunity to sit. There's a screen test room on the first floor. I'm sitting here. I'm watching screen tests of different women. One was eating a Hershey Bar! Yum! Pretty erotic too. Or maybe I have a dirty mind? To conclude, this gallery is very cool, comfortable and has friendly security men. This is my second exhibit here. I'm sure when I see the flags on Park Avenue I'll return. They have a wonderful way of curating their exhibits. Get here before June 15th, 2019 if you're a Warhol Fan like I am! His work doesn't need reviewing here! It speaks for itself. I hear each dynamic woman's Spirit speaking through Andy's art!

I snagged a reservation with the boyfriend in hopes of trying their ramen collab with Chef Daisuke…read more The chicken was cooked perfectly - tender pieces of chicken breaded then doused in sauce on top of egg salad. The slices of fish in the chirashi bowl melted in my mouth and they added just the right amount of rice to the dish. And the miso ramen had the softest ramen noodles - I really enjoyed the texture. The broth isn't as rich as some others and I appreciated that, but I did feel that it was missing a kick. Overall, I had a good experience and would dine here again. A good little date spot for a quick dinner.

I came for dinner this week with visitors from Japan, who were impressed by how authentically Japanese and delicious everything was. Unfortunately, I don't have photos, but we chose the restaurant week menu, which included: 1. Japanese potato salad 2. Choice of kushiage, chicken nanban or kinpira salad--I chose kushiage, which came with 3 pieces 3. Choice of kaisen don, signature burger or shoyu ramen--the burger looked very tasty, but I was in the mood for Japanese food, so I chose the kaisen don 4. Homemade soft serve with choice of strawberry, mango or melon sauce--I chose melon, which was nice We also tried sparkling tea from Copenhagen, which was very refreshing. The restaurant was busy but the servers were friendly and we had a wonderful meal. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time.
