Our service was impeccable since it was our first time to Switzerland. We purchased four different flavors of chocolate and couldn't wait to share it with our family back in the United States . We rode the Bernina line open window train and bus from Milan to Saint Moritz. unfortunately on our way home, we left our chocolate on the train so we looked for other stores in Milan and the airport, but didn't find anything. Thankfully our sales clerk let us know that there was a location in Houston, Texas, and we're going to visit next month. we were so sad, but pray that someone else has a chance to experience the amazing chocolate.

We look asian but we are not chinese and we are American citizens. But she was very rude, she pick and choose customers. We standed in front of her and she kept picking the other customers whom have white skin color. We were there first, in front line. But she kept saying hi and invited others next to us or behind us. Until I can't hold it anymore and stopped her before she pick another customer behind us. She wasn't happy when I ask her to help us. She went to the back and ear drop another employee something and that employee gave us a wierd look. I hate when people racist and make assumptions about to be chinese. I read the reviews and there were multiple reviews mention about your employees were rude and only pick customers by the look (skin color, looking rich). The reality is I was the one bought the most. The other white skin customer bought only €13. I paid total €64. The others white customers were in the same tour trip with us and also noticed that your employees were racist. Shame on them. They think they are above everyone.

Once inside the shop, you can peruse the lovely embossed chocolates displayed like jewels in cases. Also on the shelves are bags and boxes readily available for quick purchase. When I entered the shop, the staff kindly offered my a sample of two varieties of gianduja chocolate that they were famous for. I decided to enjoy something cold to drink in their internal cafe. This delightful room is A-i-r C-O-N-D-I-T-I-O-N-E-D !!! On the very very hot day I was window-shopping I had to have a cold chocolate drink at the Gobino cafe. The service isn't that good, as the staff remain in the front boutique area. So I have to go and ask about ordering a drink. There is a lovely booklet menu to choose your options. I got a chocolate shake and was presented with the drink as well as a small ceramic tray holding two pieces of chocolate/gianduja candy. How lovely. I slowly drank my shake and perused the chocolate and food literature that was on the shelves. This is a great place to pass the time of day. You avoid the heat here and also have many chocolate treats to choose from. Delicioso!

I started to walk by, but stopped and went back. I stepped into the shop and asked about the "specialty." The proprietor was very nice and asked if we would like to sample one? My husband and I took one bite of our sample cookies and were sold! The cookie is so light and delicate with just the right touch of sweetness. I have had similar cookies, but nothing so airy and perfect. The price is the same whether you purchase from the bakery case or in pre-packaged boxes. I bought the second-to-largest box. I got back to our hotel later and said to my husband--I got caught up in the moment because they were so good, but how am I going to get these home without them becoming stale or broken? I had a clean, large ziploc bag, so I gently lifted the cookies wrapped in paper out of the box, sealed them in my bag, and put them back in their box. I carried them in my backpack for another week and a half before coming home. Once we were home, the cookies were still fresh, unbroken, and the powdered sugar on top had not melted in the bag. We enjoyed the delicious, light cookies, bringing back memories of that first taste in Stresa. If you go to Stresa, bring a large ziploc and buy Margheritine cookies at Pasticceria Marcolini. They are simple, but perfect.
