Once you…read morewalk up a few flights of stairs, you'll enter a beautifully laid out two-level store full of pillows, chairs, tables, toothbrushes, etc. Every item you want in a house is there and in different colors and every trendy design. Since they have smaller items like ornaments and hot pads, it's a great place to buy gifts while in Copenhagen.

It's too bad they don't have a little cafe inside because I would love to sit inside the store for hours. The store is so beautifully designed. And the products that line the shelves are equally amazing. It's hard to think you can fall in love with something like a tooth brush, but then you go in Hay House and see this beautifully designed tooth brush and you want to buy all of them. Hay doesn't have cheap products, but they have quality products. If you're in the market for a nice piece of Danish design thats more affordable than other brands, Hay would be my suggestion. Great store, great location, great all around. Go here if you're in Copenhagen!

Depending on what you're looking for, B&W is either a great flea market or a subpar one. For…read moremidcentury teak furniture, B&W is the jackpot. There are just piles and piles of dressers, tables, chairs, and sofas. Most of the furniture is wood and most of it seems to be midcentury modern with a large range of quality and prices. If you are looking for a Luxo lamp, this is also a good place to come as they have a large selection. The stands or stalls here are not so defined, everything sort of merges into each other. Some stalls have mobile numbers posted so I guess you can call the owner if you want to buy something and they are not around. In terms of clothes, accessories, and jewelry, this is not a very good flea market at all. The interesting thing about this place is really the old ship yard space itself. The open trusses are beautiful. The best vantage point in the building is certainly the elevated platform which holds hundreds (if not thousands) of wooden chairs. From there, you get a bird's-eye view of the flea market around you. The coolest thing I found there was a vintage blue phone booth. But there was no way I could take that home =(

I really liked the place and the fact that it is connected to a place where you can buy amazing Danish design furniture puts it over the top. If you are riding your bike out here be careful not to miss it or think that you took a wrong turn. It is deep in between the law offices and commercial buildings that dot Nyhavn. If you find it you are in for a treat. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is certainly good enough to be connected to a design shop. I would have liked it to be a bit more funky but you can never ask for too much. Service was good and prompt and really considering what we got and the wine we chose it was not crazy expensive. Okay, everything is relative but for what you get in CPH it is not that bad. I give it a thumbs up, and if you feel like a special date spot, this place is a great idea.

Supercute, pricey modern Danish design living store…read more After having a disappointing time at the Design museum, we went out the next day expressly looking for modern shopping. So after a lunch and wander around Torvehallerne, we stumbled by this store. Very cute design-y stuff, pricey of course to these American eyes but still really nice stuff. Them and another store across the street had some of the best modern design touches we'd seen in all of Copenhagen, definitely worth a visit for home goods if in the area.
