Have come here for a weekend away and is a lovely coastal area with plenty to do in the area and nearby. We travelled from the midlands which made it a nice and easy short journey, the only thing you need is the weather on your side to make it the perfect weekend break away :) We will definitely be returning here, and if you drive then you can enjoy all that north wales has to offer as well! read more

Went to Winkups at the weekend in North Wales (91 miles from Halifax :-)) and was really really surprised how great it was!!! it was that good that i bought a holiday home to rent out so if you know anyone looking for a nice break away or family holiday this site really does have it all! (email me to book - WinkupsWales@gmail.com) it has a great clubhouse with nice friendly staff and the entertainment is excellent, really knows how to get the crowd going and she has a brilliant singing voice! the xfactor finalist is also there tonight! The park has everything you need including a big store, amusements with two lane bowling, guitar hero's :-), fish & chip shop, cafe, kids club, park, swimming pool is being built, and if that is not enough just across the road is a fun fair and Tir Prince racecourse which also holds a market 4 days a week which is huge! the beach is over the footbridge and a bus stop to go in either direction depending on what you like..hustle bustle, shops and quaint cafes or cycling,horse riding, windsurfing, clay pigeon, golf, countryside etc it really does have it all!!! it is also a really enjoyable and cheap holiday especially if there are a few of you or going as a family....the funfair is only £55 for the week unlimited use! Brilliant! Spent the weekend here and have been back for the last three weeks it was that good! central to everything, the entertainment is brillliant, plenty for the kids and adults to do, free kids club. Tir Prince over the road and the huge market, two fun fairs and the beach is five mins walk. Had a great time, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the club is nicely furnished and decoratedcant say enough about Winkups, it was really great! Even a free courtsey shuttle bus to Nant Hall if you want to go out for a nice meal, it is a beautiful place and suprisingly cheap menu for such good food! Winkups has plenty of variety, bar food, chippy, and coffee shop, convenience store, amusements .Tthe caravan I stayed in was lovely, had everything i needed and cheap too..if you ask for number 37 you wont be dissapointed! :-) read more
