Well, we got lucky and found this place. On the corner of this beautiful large square, we got a table. It was a bit late, and they had run out of lasagna and some other Italian dishes. So we ordered a pizza, salad and hamburger. It was really good. I wanted to get a pizza for myself but settled for a shared pizza. The burger was like when we were kids. Tasty, a bit greasy, and cooked perfectly. The pizza was almost like a NY pizza. Maybe I was hungry, who knows, but it was good. Salad is salad. Dressing was also good. This place hit the spot. Glad we found it and that we got to eat there. Great location. Good atmosphere. Great for people watching. And all around good food.

So, resuming this review, probably it's not worth it to cross the whole city just to visit this small bar, but if you are already in this part of town, then it could be considered a good option to go for a beer in the evening.

But what you need to know as Yelpers ... Is that the restaurant was completely sold out for lunch. Every single solitary table was reserved. And this was on a Tuesday. The menu is 90 percent French, 10 percent Thai. The chef and staff are young French people. The room and location are charmant. If the neighbors in Croix-Rousse want to eat there, And so many of them want to eat there, That there is not a free table to be had, Maybe you should eat there too. Get the Genepi L'Ancienne when you are done. You can't miss it. It is in a gigantic gallon-sized bottle on the comptoir.
