Located in the Canton waterfront park, you can enjoy local bands performing and local food trucks. Each month a few different bands are always featured. You can also enjoy bars that have been set up throughout the park, sponsored by Mother's bar and Grill. Some of my favorite food that is always featured, is Jimmy's Famous Seafood and Underground Pizza. Don't forget to also enjoy some ice cream from the ice cream trucks. Prices are reasonably priced and expected from the restaurants. You can always expect great quality food, great service, and fast service, especially as the night goes on and the park gets more crowded. Parking is best available on Boston Street or walking to the festival if you live in Canton is a perfect option. Don't forget to bring chairs and a blanket for sitting on the lawn, or if you get there early enough, you may be lucky enough to get a park bench where you can sit all night.

Mary greeted me right away, is very informative and a wonderful woman to talk to! The artifacts are well preserved and really painted a picture of what life was like in that time period. I found a Kids Paint Workshop and even though I was unsure of what to expect, I booked it and showed up with my girl. I am beyond excited that this center exists near me! Staff informed me it's an old school that was turned into this multi use art center. There were multiple classes going on, dance, art, etc. The attended workshop was such a pleasant surprise. It was affordable and my kids really enjoyed it and completed a real piece of art to display in our home! The instructor was professional, friendly, and patient with the children. Even though my son did not meet the age requirement, she still allowed him to participate (I paid and stayed to assist him). Afterwards, we were able to walk through the 2 free Art Exhibits on display which boasted beautiful work that was also for sale. My kids were so intrigued. They were amazed with the materials that were used & interested, asking questions and commenting on the visuals. I truly appreciate this center exposing children to the arts at a level they can comprehend. Don't hesitate to book a class or check out an exhibit! You will not be disappointed!

There was an old musky smell that permeated all throughout as if the building hadn't opened in a while. Other than that it appeared clean and the seats appeared to be new. The rest rooms are located in the front of the building as soon as you enter, one on either side. There is a nice size lobby, the comedians were selling T-shirts, CD's, and odds and ends. I did not see a concession stand.

The Gordon Center for Performing Arts was a very nice theater to see a musical artist perform…read moreacoustically. I planned a weekend away with my wife to see Luca Stricagnoli. He's a guitarist from Italy and plays a three neck guitar, look him up on You Tube! His fingers are almost alien like how he hits those cords! I'm not sure where Owning Mills is but I have a car with navigation so I'll figure it out. I always have a little push back, the security guard checking everyone's vaccination status (who has a gun on his belt??) says my NY state Vaccine card on my cell isn't recognized. I tell him to get his boss to come up front. The theater director approached the main doors. I explain I'm from New York and.. "this is how we do it.." (dance break) He says not a problem Bill S. Enjoy the show. Once inside, what a beautiful theater! I purchases the first aisle seat (for guy spreading) second row and I have a great view of the stage. The acoustics were spot on and the lighting for the performance was also professional. Nice job Gordon Center crew! I don't live in the state but it was a pleasure to see a great performance at The Gordon Center for the performing arts.

Unfortunately, I came when only the audio tour was available which is only available on your own phone, so I suppose you're supposed to know to bring your headphones. Luckily, the place was barren, so playing on speaker didn't bother anyone. The audio tour covers the history of the house and some details about the owners and the people that worked there. The audio tour appears to be new and it certainly judges the Carrolls by modern standards. Some of the themes are repetitive and likely intended to leave the listener with a negative impression of the owners. I did not have to pay for the tour because it was free during my visit but I would have judged it more harshly if I paid for admission. The gift shop followed some of the theme of the audio tour, which included pins of a political nature, which is surprising for a house museum on a college campus. It's a beautiful site with a complex history, but there's no one around to ask any questions about the house while roaming through each room. Outside, it's nice to stroll around the campus, and it's a good focal point to see on a nice day.

I recently took my daughter to a casting call and we really had a lot of fun. There were toys for little kids to play with while they waited. The woman directing everyone seemed on edge (with a ton of people and kids there I get it) but it didn't detract from the experience. :-) The new website is comprehensive. I had a good time there. They had a printer available to print out your barcode, which was great since my printer was down.
