My daughter has been here…read morefor two years now from Pre‑K, Summer School, and TK, and the experience has been consistently positive every step of the way. It is a small school with a true family feel. Every teacher knows the students by name, and that sense of care is felt daily. The office staff is very responsive. Any time there has been a question or issue, we have always received a quick response and prompt action. The elective teachers deserve special recognition as well. Ms. Jeannie (Science), Ms. Edith (Spanish), and Ms. Zoe (Music) have all done an amazing job creating hands‑on, engaging lessons that truly keep the kids excited and involved. Most importantly, we cannot say enough wonderful things about my daughter's TK teacher, Ms. Weiss. My daughter absolutely loves her, and when I asked why, she said, "Because she listens to everything." That alone speaks volumes about the level of care, respect, and attention Ms. Weiss gives her students every single day. She is incredibly engaging, warm, and thoughtful, and she goes above and beyond to make learning fun by celebrating all kinds of occasions, decorating the classroom with her own amazing props and costumes for all the children, and going all out to make the school year special. Ms. Weiss is truly one of a kind. We have seen tremendous growth in our daughter under Ms. Weiss's guidance. Academically, she is excelling in reading and math, and her writing and reading skills have made huge strides. Even more meaningful is how genuinely interested she now is in reading and writing outside of the classroom. We have also seen amazing growth in her interpersonal skills such as confidently greeting others, engaging with new friends, and learning how to reason and communicate thoughtfully. All of this is thanks to Ms. Weiss and the strong foundation she has helped build during these critical early education years. We are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact she has had on our daughter's growth. While we are so sad to be leaving Ms. Weiss's class soon, we know the lessons, confidence, and love of learning will stay with our daughter for life. I also want to give a special thank you to my daughter's Pre‑K teachers, Ms. Sonal and Ms. Gauri. They did an incredible job setting a strong foundation in phonics and helping her transition from daycare into a more structured school environment. The early support was crucial to her confidence and success at the school in the beginning, and we are so grateful for the role they played in shaping her learning journey. Lastly, we are also so grateful for the extended day teachers who have been such a big part of our daughter's experience. Ms. Holly during Summer School and Ms. Hibah during TK have been absolutely wonderful. They keep the extended day program fun and engaging with creative arts, activities, and fresh ideas, which makes it feel less like "extra hours" and more like an extension of the school day. As parents, it gives us so much comfort knowing our child is in caring, creative hands even after regular school hours.

Ms. Weiss makes learning fun and engaging with weekly themes and celebrations (Mickey's birthday, Curious George, Harry Potter, Halloween etc.), plus impressive decorations and activities. You can tell she genuinely cares about every kid, and she makes it super parent-friendly too - she'll even provide costumes for events, and the birthday celebrations for each child feel really special. We've also seen a noticeable improvement in our daughter's early reading skills and art work. Extended care has also been a big plus. Ms. Hiba is hands-on, keeps the kids motivated, and uses little rewards (like stickers) that actually get them excited. The office staff is always friendly, and the leadership is very present. Ms. Swathi (Head of School) and Dipali (Assistant Director) greet families at the gate daily - sounds small, but it makes a huge difference and really shows how engaged they are. The school feels small, tight-knit, and perfect for young kids, and events like Winter Wonderland (Santa), the winter program, and Diwali are always well run. Overall, we're really happy and excited to have our daughter continue her learning journey at Stratford Winchester in the coming years.

I went to this school 8 years ago and in 3rd grade I had beef with this kid because he got mad that I was close with my own best friend at the time so he spread all sorts of stuff about me like for example: I called him Deaf, I screamed in his ear, etc.... Because of him I had to get called to the office everyday and get lectured by the principal at the time who OBVIOUSLY had a bias because even when it was proven I didn't bully the kid SHE STILL TOOK HIS SIDE. And at some point she even told my mom I had to be on medication for my "behavior issues" and in 5th grade the principal called my mom in for a meeting and she tried to get me in mental experiment program at some point. In general, this school is bullshit, the staff are bullshit, I hope they all get replaced DONT ENROLL YOUR KID IN THIS SCHOOL UNLESS YOU HATE THEM.

I hated being there because a couple of women named Judith and Auclare would constantly harass and belittle me whenever I got something wrong. I also remember I was using self-defense when a classmate was fighting me, and *I* got in trouble for an incident HE caused. I'm also someone who wants friends and gets along with most people perfectly, so that fact should've disregarded these mentally challenged officials' claims about me being autistic. Terrible school. I would rate this place -5 stars out of 5 if this website allowed negative numbers.

This school is a little hidden gem in the middle of Santa Clara…read more We are very, very, very happy we found it. Staff is very kind and helpful. Teachers are very nice and experimented. It's a catholic school and it's a very welcoming environment to anyone: all ethnicities, backgrounds, religions... They will not force you to something or treat you differently because of A or B. What I really like is indeed how diverse it is and that it also offer a good "work-life balance" for the little ones. St Lawrence offers a good education, with values and has a great after school program. It is competitive the right amount for us. I visited several other private schools but they were either not diverse, or way too competitive, 1 fit all style, and with too many helicopter parents. I want my kids to have a nurturing childhood, discover different kinds of people and not develop little robots that would do 5th grade maths in 2nd grade. It is so easy to fall in that trap, especially now and here in the Silicon Valley. What I also loved is that they offer Spanish, Drama and art (with a real specialized teachers) embedded in the curriculum. They have a recreative after school program (Crafts and games), but they also offer thematic programs (chess, programming, art, magician...) for a small extra fee. They have a competitive swim team on site (amazing!). Some things had to be stopped during Covid (after school, swim team), but it is my understanding that these will re-open in September 2021. Cost wise, it is way more affordable than most private schools in the Bay Area, and you can apply for aid as well. The school re-opened part time in Oct 2020 and full time in Jan 2021. Was such a help for the kids (and parents) I imagine. The only "complaint" I would have, is that they should do a little more anticipation and be better at organizing or setting up things (for example pool reopening, Science teacher coming in person etc.) But I blame most of it on a challenging 2020 year - for all of us. Thank you Mrs Lares, the Principal and the entire St Lawrence team!

Just really immature and self important. It's all about them. Ps if Carina is still principal she encouraged bullying and I saw ad heard her myself. "Now is not the time " during class time. Next thing you know someone is getting ganged up on on the playground. She's a piece of work. She makes herself that way. She's loony I have many more examples. When half the class is crying on the last day of school something is wrong. So they promoted her. Sick.

We are especially appreciative of the school's strong communication and care. The administrative team has always been thoughtful and responsive--whether supporting families through unexpected situations or keeping us well informed about Vincent's progress and experiences at school. This level of partnership has meant a great deal to us as parents. As a parent volunteer,I have also had the privilege of working closely with the school and the parent community. These experiences have made us feel deeply connected to the Pomeroy community. We are especially grateful to the teachers for their dedication and support during the important transition year, including their thoughtful guidance and recommendation support for the students. Many good teachers here, Mr.s Lewis, Mr. Adler,Mr. Merchant, Mr. Lee, Ms. Alldredge, etc We will certainly continue to recommend the Pomeroy campus to families and friends.

(This review is not for schools's teachers but for management)…read more Initially we enrolled our kid here but we had cancel way before the school starts. We ended up paying first month tuition 3k + deposit 750$ and also few other extra fees. As per the contract, if we cancel we loose 10%. Even after going for a single dat in school, we lost 4000+$. We were kind of let it go as this is what we signed in the agreement. Above incident happened 2 month ago. I didn't write any bad review at that time as it was us who cancelled the admission. Today we received an email stating this "If we do not receive the outstanding payment by the end of this week, we will be compelled to refer your account, along with any outstanding fees and tuition, to a collections agency". Now they asking us to pay another 400$ saying it is stated in your contract. Its not like their spot is open, they already filled the spot. Even without going for a 1 day school, school charged us 3000 + 750 + 100 ( + 400 another they are asking) after 2 months. We were thinking again to send our kid to Stratford school after one year due to lot positive online reviews but this incident baffled me today. If you are not certain or may have to change something during school enrollment due to some life events, do not sign anything or do not go with this school. they won't honor your situation. One a side note, when we use credit card / bank details with this school website, we always had fraud issue or leaking the personal details. I had cancel my credit card when I paid initial 750$ deposit.

From day one, the staff made our family feel welcomed. They strike that rare balance of being warm and nurturing while also maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations. My boys are excited to go to school each morning, and as a parent, that peace of mind is priceless. The teachers are exceptional--patient, communicative, and deeply invested in each child's growth. They recognize that kids learn differently and somehow manage to challenge, encourage, and celebrate each child as an individual. Yes, it is a Christian school, but it is by no means over the top and our boys really enjoy the stories and songs. The lessons are truly focused on being good humans - who can argue with inspiring a little more love and kindness? What stands out most is the sense of community. This isn't just a school; it's a partnership. Whether it's helping my youngest gain confidence in preschool or ensuring my older kids are engaged, curious, and supported, the school consistently goes above and beyond. As a mom juggling work, schedules, and three very different personalities, I can say with complete confidence that this school has been one of the best decisions we've made for our family.
