Roger Ward Moving & Storage - Items that were gone through and left behind after the break in...again no contact, or we would have had friends check on our belongings.

Years ago we moved from the base there in Minot to overseas. We rented a unit thinking our…read morebelongings that we didn't want to risk making the journey, would be safe. When we returned to get them we found that our unit had been broken into and we were never notified! They notified us when they said we needed to purchase one of their new locks...and when they upped the rent charges. They even put their new lock on our unit, that we later found had sat open and exposed to the elements. But again...NEVER notified us that they had had break ins and that our unit was one of those vandalized. We lost a lot of valuable and sentimental items. They had no problems contacting us about taking our monthly auto payments! We had friends in the area that would have happily went in on our behalf had we known there was a problem! We even found bins of items that didn't belong to us! We turned them into the office... hopefully they made it back into the proper owners hands and not just tossed out.

Our son was transferred to Minot, ND in February. He had a tractor trailer full of their…read morebelongings and he didn't know a soul in town. It was our son, daughter in law and a 4 month old son. There was no way they could empty the trailer by themselves and there was no way we could get there to help. One Friday afternoon I called Roger Ward movers and spoke with Joan. Her kindness and willingness to help set this mother's mind at ease. She followed through with the necessary documents and assured this nervous mother that everything would be great. AND IT WAS. Our daughter in law said they showed up on time, worked tirelessly to get everything done and were VERY professional. She was impressed. Their prices were reasonable and they were able to finish everything in the minimum billable amount of time. Thank you so much Roger Ward Movers for the great service you provided. I would whole heartedly recommend them.

If you can get yourself a different moving company do yourself a favor and don't walk, RUN away…read more Unfortunately for military, we don't get to choose who packs and moves our belongings, so we were stuck with them. The first day, they didn't even show up. They had an attitude when we called to ask for an estimated arrival time. They out right LIED and said that their drivers had just left the warehouse and would be to our house within 30mins. 1.5hrs later we called their main headquarters who called them and then found out they canceled because we "have too much stuff". The next day 2 packers showed up bright and early at 8:30am. They stayed at our house until 5:30pm and by the time they left, they had only packed 40 boxes. So 8 hrs of labor (plus 1hr lunch)x2 people means in 16hrs of labor they only had 40 boxes to show for it. To put that into perspective, I packed 32 boxes in 4.5hrs by myself while taking very detailed notes of every thing in the boxes. The next day, they somehow managed to pack 105 boxes between 8:30-2:30, which shows the first day they were BSing. They packed boxes horribly. They packed a 10lb brass Egyptian head with jade Buddah statues and didn't understand what the issue was. Make sure you write down everything you care about because they write very generic descriptions that you can't file a claim on. $800 jade Buddah, Egyptian stones, were written as "decor". One girl Kristie was very sweet. The other girl Lexi, was very sour. It was rather obvious Lexi didn't care we were trying to keep things organized. She was putting stuff from our gym in woth our master bedroom. Seems like no big deal, but when we get to the new house and open a box we're going to have to walk around to 3 different rooms because of the way she packed. If I asked her which box had a specific item she caught an attitude. When I decided to leave her alone and ask after the fact she smirked and said " Oh I wish I could show you, but it's already on the truck." I suggest before they get there write down every single thing that you care about a d keep you're own separate inventory. Better yet, if I could go back in time - I suggest a ditty move. When they are done boxing, they don't give you the opportunity to go through and count boxes. They just take everything. At no point in time do they give you the opportunity to inventory what they are putting in what box, they hurry and rush you on the second day to get your boxes out. Each of my friends that has used them has ended up with at least one thing missing. The things missing just so happen to never be on the inventory list. That's suspect. I was in the military for 8yrs and have been with my husband (who's also AD) since 2005. Never in either of our careers did we see such a shady job done. It's very obvious that when they are there to sho through what they are going to steal, not help move you to your next station. I'm very broken hearted because it's very obvious when we get to our destination things are going to be missing. If they aren't, by all means I'll update you that I was wrong and that they are just sloppy, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. They've proved themselves consistent.

Terrible! Showed up with no dolly straps, no blankets to put over table tops, ect. Dropped our…read morebrand new washer down the stairs, put small holes and dents in the walls. One guy was dropping the F word every other breath as he was carrying our furniture to the truck. After damage to several of our items and walls, the slow production, smoke breaks in the back of the truck and the unprofessional manner of the two guys they sent, we called the office and had another crew sent out. I have never left a company review but this was by far the worst moving company I have ever delt with. Save yourself damaged items and the headache of dealing with this company and hire another moving company!

My furniture and belongings were delivered yesterday. Two estate king bed mattresses were scuffed…read moreand stained with some sort of oil, my entertainment center was damaged, my coffee table top is lifted from the base due to them lifting from top, two large tv's barely wrapped but in 3 thin pieces of paper (one tv not turning on and smells like the same oil that leaked on my mattress). I have been unloading large boxes full of bundled up papers only to find one plastic lampshade or some towels buried deep in probably 50 paper crumples per large box. When these jobbers arrived at my departing address, there were 6 people. By the end of the day there were 8 people. They arrived at 9am and did not leave until 9pm. I am minimalistic and this was a two bedroom apartment I was living in. I had made separate piles for them to pack (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc). The only thing they needed to enter any rooms for were the beds. I asked them to protect my floors and be gentle. They were extremely rough and inconsiderate. The guys and girls working were flirting and being inappropriate while packing. Once I noticed there was zero professionalism, my husband and I monitored them as much as possible. It is too bad that you can not trust a crew that you've brought into your home expecting your belongings to be handled carefully and this is the outcome. Damaged furniture (costing thousands of dollars), wasted paper protecting non valuable items (costing extra time and energy when trying to settle into a new home). Do yourself a favor and do NOT do business with these people. I would be ashamed to have any of these people employed for my establishment. If I could give them no stars I would.

They wrecked a…read morewicker coffee table, ruined an antique table, broke pictures, dismantled an antique dresser (I have no idea where the rest of the parts are and they aren't replaceable). The truck driver called to confirm delivery. They first told us June 10th then it was June 11th. The truck driver was told the 10th as well. We couldn't receive the load because we made arrangements for other appointments that day since the final word from Jobbers was the 11th. The truck driver was very nice and said we were the customers so he would do whatever we requested. He had to spend a night at a truck stop. Then they didn't tell us they had movers to unload us and it was a total fiasco. I'm dreading opening other boxes, packages to see what else they have ruined. Run, don't walk, away from this company. I would give them negative stars if possible.
