On the day of, she did an amazing job blowing out my hair, curling it, braiding it (exactly like my inspo pic) and placing my tiara. She really took her time and ensured it was perfect! I loved how it turned out! She did an excellent job with my makeup as well. Since I wear a hijab (headscarf), I preferred a more private area to get ready. There were some communication issues related to billing and services and some issues with the way my bangs were cut. When I got home, I was HOT with anger. I felt very much over billed and slightly taken advantage of. I called and left word to have the manager, Melody, return my call. She did and was patient and professional, despite my very obvious anger. She explained the itemization and billing. I insisted on a partial refund and she said that was not their policy (understandably so) but that she did not want me to be unhappy and offered me a credit for the services I was not aware of when I returned for my next service. I feel this was fair and, in hindsight, very much appreciate her accommodation. Now, in regards to my hair cut and partial highlight... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I have never received so many compliments for a hair cut/style and I have had MANY. People cannot stop telling me how awesome it looks. It is also the EASIEST style I have ever had to manage. Fast drying and I have never been able to get my extremely thick and wavy hair so straight. The partial highlights are natural-looking and it looks amazing with my angular face shape, an issue I can rarely get addressed with a stylist successfully. CELESTE is the only stylist I have ever seen here and I will not see anyone else going forward. T.H.E. clearly values loyalty and knows what they are doing. I will ABSOLUTELY be returning and recommend CELESTE (and all of their staff) for anyone looking to get something amazing done for their hair.

On the day of my appointment, while I was already on my way to the salon, I received a call from the receptionist informing me that my appointment was being canceled last minute. Instead of offering a solution or urgency in rebooking, I was told it would be another two weeks before I could be scheduled for the same service. The only compromise offered was to split the services -- haircut one week, color the next -- which was not ideal, nor what I had booked or planned for. It was implied that the cancellation was due to my stylist calling out, and while no direct explanation was given, it happened to be the day after what I believe was their birthday -- which raises questions about the level of professionalism and planning. If something unavoidable came up, I would have appreciated an honest explanation and a sincere effort to accommodate me promptly--especially since I had already made arrangements and was en route. At the time I was working 70 hours a week and I specifically took time out of my workday to go do this seeing as I had no free time. To make matters worse, I later received an automated confirmation for an appointment I never scheduled or approved, which only added to the confusion. The stylists here are also the owners, Patrick and Kevin, which makes the lack of communication and client care even more frustrating. As business owners, I expected better accountability, professionalism, and respect for clients' time. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won't be returning.

I have been searching for a salon and stylist that truly cares about the health of your hair and who knows how to cut hair properly. If I knew she would be going to April for her hair, I would've warned her! She left with ORANGE HAIR instead of highlights. STEER CLEAR OF THIS LADY! 1.5 years later: still fixing the damage!!! Brazilian blowouts, deep conditioning treatments, constant trims bc she fried my hair and it constantly breaks off, and getting my hair colored and toned to cover and even out the leopard print orange hair she gave me! My hair was so unevenly cut, and does not grow quickly, so before it can grow, it dies. I am now stuck with shoulder length hair, unless it can magically grow faster than it dies. Hard to do when someone pours bleach on your head and damages it all! Oh, and I found out 2 days later she did this to a friend of mine as well. Certain it's intentional at this point, bc she then charges you to repair it. She wants you to pay to "fill in the spots with color and then tone it." What a joke she is! Oh, and she's working at a salon at the beach now. So be careful of April's at the beach, it could be her. A former coworker did my hair, and knew it was her, once I explained why my hair is in this condition. She apparently did this to several clients and was then fired. She's bounced between multiple salons doing this.
