It is next door to Rupp Arena and sits at the intersection of three streets, which meet to form a triangle....somewhat. One leg of the triangle has rows of fountains, which shoot water into the air much like the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas. Though, the Triangle Park fountains are not nearly as large or impressive, they are still really nice. The water cascades down 10-11 steps that actually face Rupp Arena and it all makes a festive display at night when the fountain is alight. The Park contains plenty of semi-mature trees that give lots of shade for the numerous tables and chairs there on brick/concrete patches. Even though there is concrete, skating (along with a list of other activities stated on a sign) is not allowed in the park. When I visited this park in mid-September, there was a food truck selling its wares; though, I do not know if it is available year-round. Overall, this cozy park is a nice addition to a downtown are that is very walkable.

This is a decent neighborhood park, but probably not worth driving to for most people. It's on the…read moresmall side and if you're walking a dog, like I was, it's a very short loop to go around the park. I thought the park looked much bigger on the map, but it actually butts up against a golf course, so the course is what's mostly green on the map. Also, there were two vehicles that looked either like people were living in them or like they'd been abandoned in the small parking lot. There was a third car with people just hanging out in it the entire time I was there. All that said, the pickleball court looked new. I tried to take photos that highlight the nature, but you don't really feel like you're in nature in this park. There's a big cell phone tower nearby, broken up concrete in the creek, and a lot of trees had plastic tied around them.

I want to preface this by saying I think this park would earn 5 stars by the people going there to…read moreplay sports. It has basketball, baseball, tennis, and frisbee golf. I went there to walk my dog and be in nature. The majority of the main paved walking path is actually separate from the park. It runs alongside the road that runs through the park. Because I was there around rush hour, it basically felt like walking on a sidewalk next to a busy street, rather than like walking in a park. Also, there was some construction and a lot of electrical lines with big metal bases along the path, which also detracted from the little bit of nature. But who knows, maybe I'll come back in the summer (I noticed a pool) and end up increasing my score.

A very nice, very large park. I really wish there were more shady areas and large trees. While…read morethey do exist, the majority of this park is grassland. I would definitely recommend that you bring hydration if it's a particularly sunny/warm day out, as you will need it. While Google Maps and Garmin may lead you astray, there are actually several places to park here (not just the one by the park entrance). If you keep driving past it, you'll see a few more (possibly more... My exploration was pretty limited). I will say that the paved bike/walking bath is very nice, well kept, and (at least today) pretty quiet. Very flat with lots of long rolling hills (although a few may prove tough to novices). I'm definitely planning on coming back to work on improving my very meager bicycling skills.
