We diverted for weather and were fortunate enough to find Lyddon Aero Center. The staff quickly pumped just over 2000 gallons of Jet A into two helicopters, and lent us a couple of crew cars for the day. I will definitely plan this as a stop when we come through from now on. Thanks for the wonderful experience. read more

This is good as it gets for many years of service I have known. Great staff of owners and crew and office. Maintenance shop is tops here. Busy airplanes and great variety of them. I would suggest this over any other similar nationwide. read more

History

Established in 1975.

Our history in aviation began with Lyddon Flying Service, originally founded in La Junta, Colorado by Bill Lyddon Sr., in 1965. Flight Training was the main objective, but an air charter business also developed. Then in 1975, Bill along with his sons Steve and Bill Jr., purchased the FBO in Lamar, Colorado and emphasis was changed to primarily charter, and business began to grow. In October of 1990, Steve and Bill Jr. purchased the FBO in Liberal, Kansas.

Meet the Business Owner: Steven L.

Steve Lyddon has been flying since he was 15 years old. He has over 30,000 hours of flight experience from everything to an Aeronca Champ to a Beechjet 400A. He was awarded the NBAA Safety award in 2008.
