Leonardo is quite the cobbler and his passion for what he does is pretty obvious. He always takes the time to explain options for my repairs and has in a few instances recommended against investing in fixing a shoe that it of lower quality despite its brand name or price tag. He even identifies what has resulted in the need of certain repairs (i.e. In standing water or salt). While I am not the best at slipping out of my heels when I plan to walk distances, the heels look like new after visits here. Whether I have stopped in to replace leather soles, add rubber soles , clean up a pair of heavily work work pumps, darken a shoe's color or anything in between, I have been pleased with the results. I used to have a cobbler in the city, that was pretty decent, but since I work closer to this area, and found this hidden gem I haven't looked back. He's reasonably priced. He's honest, fast and will save the day. He has replaced zippers on my boots he's replaced heels, soles, including sandals and closed toed shoes. He saved my favorite heels time and time again. I've even brought new peers of shoes and he's modified for me. Don't know if there's anything he can't do when if comes to footwear. Now I'm trying to commission him to make me a pair shoes, since I have huge feet. I think when he does make me my shoes, there will be nothing left for this guy to accomplish because he is awesome! Leon repaired my hockey skates. My skates had a big rip halfway through the Achilles guard. Leon reinforced the area and stitched it up. I think it's more secure than it was when I bought them. Took around 5 days total. We had a great conversation. He also repalms gloves and repairs all kinds of leather sports equipment. Next time, I may just ship whatever it is I need fixed to him and trust him to give me a fair estimate and get it done in a reasonable amount of time. read more

I have a pair of white boots, they were too big on the legs, and he did amazing job! He made the legs of the boots 2" smaller, it just like never been altered, like brand new boots! I'm very happy! After reading a few reviews I decided to take two boots in for repair and polishing. Bad decision. One of my short booties just needed a zipper replaced. Went to pick up and I specifically asked him if he replaced the zipper, he lied and said yes, he said be careful using it. I was a bit concerned when he said that but okay. It turns out he didn't replace the zipper just made it work temporarily. So it broke again. What a waste of my time and money. The other boot, he barely polished them and they looked just okay. Another waste of time and money. Needless to say I will never go here again. Now I have to take my boot to another shoe repair and pay again but will mark the zipper somehow to make sure it's actually replaced. Very deceitful person at LV. Never again. read more

Horrible experience. But, lesson learned. Always ask for an invoice. ALWAYS ASK FOR INVOICE! That was our mistake, of course because we trusted him. But please don't be fooled by his charismatic paused character. That's part of the game. After giving him a fifty percent deposit, a few weeks later when he call us to come to pick up our chairs, he charged up 200 dollars extra for no reason (yes your read it right, 200.00 EXTRA), for absolutely no reason. When we question him for supportive reasons to the added charge, he lied, claiming that, it was the initial price agreed upon dropping the chairs. That's a lie. What a way to rob and loot money from community citizens that are trying to support local small business. Please Never trust him, and if after reading this you still choose to request his services, always ALWAYS ask him for an invoice. Because he, very conveniently, will not even offer it. read more

Zero rating!!! I brought a pair of boots in to be shined and the guy said I should replace the soles of the boots, a agreed because they are pretty old. When I returned 3 days later they POORLY glue 2 nickel size pieces of rubber to the heels and painted the rest with shoe polish, and had the nerve to charge me $22.00. I know shame on me for not asking first. Lesson learned and now I am going to tell everyone what a scam they are. read more

So far I have had 2 pairs of shoes repaired; 1 pair of leather boots I bought in Milan & although they were over $100.00 the sole of the boot cracked after wearing them less than 30 times. The heel started separating from the leather boot. Both soles were repaired & are amazing, beautiful work! Another pair of leather flip flops were repaired for under 15.00 & like new! I will not go anywhere else. A lovely purse that was given to me for my birthday lost hold of its strap. Online (Yelp Talk) and offline conversations led me to seek out a shoe repair shop. I was going to be in the area, so based on the previous reviews I decided to take a chance on this one. I called ahead, gave a description of the problem, and asked if the repair could be done the same day. Yes, it could. I arrived and was told the job could be done in a half hour! Whoot! I wouldn't have to make a return trip and I could just walk a few blocks to Jewels to get a bit of shopping done. I returned in a half hour and the job was done. The cost to repair the strap and reinforce the other side was $12. He even took the time to explain why the strap had broken (i.e. wrong type of thread). Sure, I could have purchased a cheap purse for that money, but I probably would have wound up with another broken purse. Also, I think the repaired purse, despite its threading flaws, was worth more than the repair cost. read more

I got salt damage on a pair of expensive black shoes. The salt was actually inside the leather. No polish or cleaner got the marks off. I thought I'd ruined them. I took my shoes to LV and they were finished within a week. They look fantastic, just like new. There is now no trace of the salt damage. And the price was very reasonable. I am very happy I went to LV and will go back if I ever need more shoe work. This business also does work on leather jackets and upholstery. read more

This is THE BEST shoe/purse repair shop EVER!!! I brought him a Coach purse from 1980!!! Yes, 1980, it was beat up buckle broken, faded....I could not part with it for some reason then one day driving down Lake Street I saw the LV Shoe Repair, I thought why not lets see, (granted I had brought him a pair of my 3 year old boots that he made look like new) so I asked him about my Coach purse he said bring it in and I will let you know what can be done, so I did. I so wish I took a before and after picture!!! The purse looks like NEW and it is from 1980!!!! I brought him another Coach purse to repair and I cant wait to pick it up next week.
