Their pricing is very fair and I am recommending to all friends and family. Thank you for helping bring my kitchen to life! The process was this quick and easy: I called for inquiry on an estimate on quartz for my kitchen, the next day Ed drove to my house in Jacksonville (they are based out of Orlando) with samples of their quartz and granite. Someone was at the shop sending live footage of the large slabs based off of the samples I liked. He mapped out everything in my kitchen extremely quickly but with excellent precision. They were available to come and install a week later. We only had to postpone due to a hold up on our new cooktop. Any questions I had along the way was a quick text or call away and always answered almost immediately.

My buddy referred me to EdStone after my usual countertop company told me that had a 5-week…read morebacklog. Ed was friendly and responsive, measuring and providing a quote the next day. The installation happened just 5-day later. Great right, not so fast..... That is where the honeymoon ended! The installer(s) used ALEX acrylic latex caulk to install the vanity top, sink and backsplash. They said they couldn't install the shower knee wall cap, threshold, and niche sill, because they didn't have thin set mortar. The quote clearly stated installation was included for all the items on the quote, not just the vanity top. Note: acrylic latex caulk is not waterproof, shrinks, and promotes mold and mildew in wet environments, like a bathroom and sink/vanity. Clearly, this is not industry standard, 100% silicone or siliconized acrylic latex (thinset mortar for the shower) is, but the quote didn't specify what materials were to be used. If you use EdStone make sure you specify what materials you expect on the quote. Needlessly, I had to pay someone else afterwards to install the shower pieces as Ed was less than helpful when I asked about them. Buyer beware....... While the initial process and the quartz pieces themselves were 5-stars, the substandard materials used to install (well only partly) them was a 2-star affair. Be sure what you expect is in the contract before signing it.

We spent a considerable amount of time searching for someone to do this job. We needed someone to design, fabricate and install the countertops. During our introductions, Rafael demonstrated professionalism and knowledge in being the right person to do the job. We are confident we came to the right place. The customer services were amazing. If you're looking for a reputable, sound company you trust to do your work, please look elsewhere…read more This company provides no sort of peace of mind when it comes to home projects. My husband and I just purchased our first home and have a couple of projects we want to work on - the kitchen being the first. We had quotes done from other companies and it boiled down to 2 companies - Carla and another (whom we ended up using). From the beginning, Carla was reluctant to when it came to educating us on the process and helping us to feel comfortable handing over over $3k to them. I tried to look up their license with DBPR and was unsuccessful in finding them - and I am a pre-law student, I'm well aware of how to search for companies with DBPR. They're not even BBB accredited and everything they did is exactly what all sources say contractors and companies should NOT be doing. In a way, I feel like they take advantage of customers who they feel aren't competent in reading choppy legal agreements and understanding them. By far, this was one of the worst professional agreements I have ever read in my life. I want to emphasize their contract: 1. You're forced to accept that if they need a second slab of over $2,xxx that you'll have to buy it OR you will lose your deposit which includes the cost of a slab PLUS half of labor. They won't guarantee what they quote you is what you'll pay. 2. They also refuse to guarantee that you'll have the work done with an acceptable amount of seams (professional craftsmanship is not guaranteed) 3. Their contract says that THEY aren't responsible for any damages to your home that THEY may cause. 4. They have a contradictory clause in the contract saying that although YOU pay for the slab, THEY are the ones buying it so it is their property. It later says that they will not be responsible if your slab breaks after you pay for it and will only act as mediators between you and the slab supplier. I will attach pictures of the contract they sent us, the contract we sent BACK to them to ask that they offer some sort of protection to us- their potential clients- that was rejected. This is terrible customer service and a terrible business practice. You should NEVER start off a relationship by advising that you're not responsible for any of your work and won't stand behind any of it. Please go else where. They may be cheap, but it's probably because they're not insured or bonded or anything along those lines. Their contract is B.S. and I'm glad we decided not to use them. On top of all of this, we were willing to PAY THE LABOR COSTS of having their team come template our kitchen and have them lay it out on a mock slab with the same dimensions as the slab we were choosing but they refused that as well. The sad part is that she had a contact that had such a beautiful stone at an unbeatable price! But I'm willing to pay more and invest in a company I trust and work I can trust.
