This took some careful planning and a lot of help from mother-nature, but combining all of these factors made for an amazing, and unforgettable entrance. How does Jules fit into this scenario? As my now husband sat in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico on my jetski, he awaited the call on his walkie-talkie that it was time to make his entrance. Julie timed it perfectly. Recently, Lorraine informed us that she had lost the lease to the contracted venue due to issues with other building tenants. At first, she suggested an alternative location, which we agreed to. Weeks later, she would not confirm the arrangements at that location and then attempted to force us to hold our reception at another venue in a different city, several miles farther away from the original location, without our approval. We rightfully declined and requested a refund of our deposit. She refused, claiming in email, it is within her rights to move or transfer the venue to any place legally based on her DBA. After consulting an attorney, we have been advised she is in breach of contract, as the original location was a material and central part of the contract. She should not be able to move the location without consent from her clients - namely us. In our opinion, this business practice is unethical, unprofessional, and deeply unfair to anyone who trusts her with their special events. We caution anyone considering this company to think twice and protect yourself by consulting an attorney before signing anything to avoid being faced with a similar situation. We are sharing our experience so that others are fully informed before making such an important decision. We all deserve better than to be strung along, displaced, and denied refunds when a vendor cannot deliver the contracted service.

If you want your event to go smoothly without any hiccups keep looking. Their conduct was completely unacceptable and they felt okay behaving like high school bullies because, "They are the owners."

I recently attended a wedding at Legacy Lane Weddings in Brooksville. It was an absolutely stunning…read moresetting for someone's big day. The wedding ceremony took place outside under a large tree. The tree is located to the left of the White House, a large plantation style home, that serves as the "Bridal House." This house includes a pool and is large enough to accommodate the bride and her bridesmaids as they prepare for the event. After the ceremony we moved to a pavilion (called The Legacy Pavilion). Here we listened to music and ate some food while pictures of the wedding party and family were taken. The pavilion was beautifully decorated and shaded (despite the four thirty wedding time, it was still pretty hot out). The reception took place in the property's carriage house. It was once a six-stable barn which has been transformed into an air-conditioned reception space. It had vaulted ceilings and easily housed all the people that attended. The space had plenty of room for guest tables, a dessert location, a photo booth, a bride, groom and bridesmaid seating area, food setup, bar and dance floor. The venue included valet parking, which made finding a place to park your car a non issue. It also had some outdoor games (corn hole) that one could play while waiting for pictures to be taken. The property, according to the bride, also includes lots of on site cabins that family members and wedding guests could stay in. I didn't venture back to that part of the property so I can neither confirm nor deny these cabins. Legacy Lane Weddings in Brooksville was an incredible place for a wedding. If you get the privilege of attending a wedding here, you will not be disappointed.
