Yep, I'm a guy. And I went here for a pedicure. :-) I found myself at Luxe after another business I tried in Boone appeared to be closed. Our neighbor uses Luxe, and she suggested trying them - despite their lower rating here on Yelp. So, I figured why not? It is appointment only - walk-ins are either not accepted or strongly discouraged. I made my appointment, did a little shopping in Boone, and showed up at Lux a few minutes early. I had to wait about 5 minutes before I was shown back to my chair. No, there is not a lot of chit-chat. I was asked to select my service, and then I sat back, enjoyed the heated massage chair, and watched the golf match on the big screen. Actually, it was quite relaxing. Sometimes it's nice to be quiet. Everything appeared to be clean and smelled clean, and they use single-use instruments when possible. It was super bright in there, but it wasn't dark and cave-like either. It was a decent vibe for me and it was easy to relax. Overall, I was pleased with the service. My wife thought the price was maybe a little high, but I left a happy camper. I would go back again. read more

It's been awhile since I have been here. In the past, they were great. Today I had a manicure and pedicure. My nails look ok. However on my pedicure they scrapped the skin on my heels raw. I won't be going back especially not for a pedicure. read more

I'm not impressed with this place in the slightest. Have been here multiple times and both times had an appointment, ended up waiting hours past my appointment time before they ever started on me. The workers are nice, but not welcoming- nobody talked to us besides telling us to pick a color. The actual pedicure was average at best. They're clearly understaffed. All this being said, they do have pretty nice and clean looking facilities, but that does not make up for their lack of service. read more

Definitely #1 nail place in my book and I have lived in different states! I absolutely love this place and they are even priced well! I have paid a lot more for what I get here! They also fix chipped polish or cracked nails free of course at a reasonable amount of time after getting them done there! I will keep going back! read more

PSA for anyone wanting to get their nails done in the Boone area: This is a review for anyone who doesn't have a husband like mine that encourages them (he walked in hand with me into the store because I was too nervous) to go get a refund. I went in to Luxe Nails in Boone with friends and when asked what I wanted I showed them the picture. The only difference was that I would like my nails rounded. After literally crying and wincing in the nail salon because of her clipping my cuticals so rough I was BLEEDING in 4 spots, and her filing my nails so short she had begun filing my NAILBEDS underneath my nails she finally "finished" my nails. I was quiet, paid, and left. Then I got home and cried. Not just because my nails were awful but also because every single one of my fingers stung. Now are nails really that big of a deal? No... BUT when I pay $50 for a service to have a girls night and "treat myself" and this is how I'm treated. Not okay. So long story short... we got a refund, and I will NEVER be returning to Luxe Nails not only because of how bad she treated me while getting them done, but also how she treated me when I came in to get a refund. ‍ read more
