Wax & Wane Waxing Salon is where you should be going for your waxing needs! I have been a client at…read moreWax and Wane for a few years. I suggest it to friends, or anyone who asks about waxing in Savannah. The salon is located on Bull street. It is next door to Foxy Loxy cafe. Sometimes parking can be difficult to find. So, plan to arrive early to give yourself time to find parking. Wax & Wane is in a renovated two story house. There are multiple rooms, a small lobby, sitting area, two bathrooms, and small shopping areas. It is warm and cozy inside the house. When you walk in it feels inviting. Every staff member is incredibly kind. I don't have a favorite technician. Because everyone is always so nice! The staff does their job precisely and efficiently. They are happy to answer any questions you may have. They take great care to make sure every room is clean and sanitized before and after every client. When you walk into the salon hand sanitizer is on your left as soon as you open the door. The prices at Wax & Wane are generally less expensive then at most waxing salons. Because all they do is waxing. All of their pricing is listed clearly on their user friendly website. Wax & Wane Waxing Salon is female owned. It is also a locally owned business. Two more great reasons to support this already fantastic business.

She examines your skin thoroughly before beginning any treatment. She examines to see what specialty products your skin needs; whether your skin is dry, oily, or special problems such as rosacea, like I have. I've been seeing Candice, faithfully and following her regiment for me for about 8 months and I see a tremendous difference in my skin!! The rosacea is much better; my skin was dry and is now much more hydrated and at 63, even though I've never smoked, I have been very self-conscious about the lines around my lips. They are MUCH better. I'm delighted to have found Candice and will continue to absorb her vast knowledge for my skin and work with her to achieve the best skin I can have and see her every 5 weeks!! I can't say enough good about her spa and her massage therapists and her entire staff! She keeps up with new products and techniques and I feel so fortunate to have my skin in her care!! Based on the high reviews I went in with such high hopes. Unfortunately, I had a very different…read moreexperience. Susan took me back to my room, and told me that the massage table had a red light feature and asked if I would like her to turn it on. I said sure! That would be great, thanks. Nothing else was mentioned and she flipped the switch to turn it on. She then left, I got undressed, and got onto the bed to wait for my massage. Halfway through the massage, she told me she was going to use cupping on my upper back because it was tight. I said okay. Susan never once mentioned it was an additional cost. Later, as I am up at the front desk checking out, (for the first time) she mentions that the red light on the bed and the cupping were an additional $30 combined. I was very confused, and said "I didn't know that those things were an additional cost." She replied and said "I know, I didn't mention it." Needless to say I was flabbergasted. Then she said "it's hard to talk about money when you're relaxed and on the massage table." (After I left I thought to myself, I wasn't even on the massage table yet when she asked me if I wanted her to turn on the red light feature.) Because of my confusion as I was checking out, she said she'd "do me a favor and discount the additional $30 cost down to $20." I was extremely uncomfortable, felt put on the spot, paid, and left. I couldn't shake the feeling of being taken advantage of, so I emailed her that night, explaining this and how uncomfortable I felt. I asked if she would be willing to refund me the additional cost, and only charge me for what I originally booked: an hour long Swedish massage. She ignored my email and the follow up email I sent 3 days later. I didn't ask her to do these additional things, she offered them up without disclosing the cost. And at no point during the online booking process were these things disclosed. You're given the option to add on the sauna or NSDR, both of which I declined. Such an awful feeling to have information kept from you throughout the entire process and then sprung on you last minute. I just hope this review can help prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.
