I recently had a pedicure here. It was super simple to make an appointment, arrive time of, & be…read moreseated right on-time. The pedicure prices are actually quite high though. I opted for their #3 Luxury Collagen @$75 (inc 15min massage). It would have been an additional $20 if I wanted gel polish. While there are a lot of "things" included in the pedicure, I wouldn't say that they were executed with the highest quality, nor with the greatest of intention & focus. Two things specifically stood out: 1) There wasn't a lot of effort to full attend to the dry skin/callus on the heel, & 2) the massage really lacked pressure & intent.

Big parking lot but many spaces are reserved for other businesses. We arrived 5 minutes late but they were not ready for us yet. The chemical smell is STRONG and my nose never adjusted to it. I think the buildings are relatively new so inside looks clean and simple mostly. We were seated about 10 minutes after we arrived. We were offered water and we accepted mini bottles. The pedicure chairs seem brand new and I do love the classic massage. Water was too hot and usually the tech will ask about it - no biggie, I just waited a bit. They did continue to recommend multiple add on services and other spa services after we chose our service. The classic pedicure was pretty basic and fast (30 minutes seated to finished) Certain spots looked like the polish didn't fully cover the nail--like it was one coat and needed another for full opacity. I was done about 15-20 minutes before my mum. She was given toe separators but I had to ask (because my toenails can get pushed together and smudge the polish)...then she only gave me one cotton ball... They helped with my sandals to ensure no smudges but not for my mom. The service was much less than where I usually go (but prices in that city are also way more expensive) Credit cards have a 2% transaction fee - would rather that just be included in the price. I never carry cash anymore after the pandemic. They also take Zelle I heard from a spa tech. Overall just an OK experience-- maybe I'm just preferencial to my OG spa. To be fair, all the other nail spas in the area on Yelp aren't rated too well so this is probably the best of them.

Rubbing the nails after she did them, telling me how great they were. I'll let you decide. Taking them off, having them removed, FINALLY! was painful, due to the extreme thickness of the nails. This was one month and I was hoping they'd start to fall off. They did not. Two days prior to the appointment, she sent a brief text canceling, that I will include. Prime self business owner failure. I had no intention of returning to Sherry. --- After a plethora of back and forth texts messages, many ignored and then she would respond, it took a MONTH to get an appointment. She was away the first week, so I was advised by a client of hers to just go get my nails done until I could get an appointment. I did and they did an AWESOME job!! Sherry wanted all of those nails off before she would do mine. So fast forward one month, she does the nails, but then tells me that she can't do them that way because she'll need to take them off every single time and then proceeds to do the design I wanted. Ombré. Not anything fancy....so Ok. I Wasn't impressed with her work or attitude, but Sherry couldn't get over herself with what a great job she did on my nails. Her words. No embellishment. She spent time interacting on her phone, reading messages, turned away from me many times to interact on her phone, acted as if my appointment was no priority. Fast forward, second appointment, 10 minutes late for my appointment, with no acknowledgment that she would be delayed. I didn't say much and so she questioned me if there was anything wrong... - You're late for my appointment and you know it... why say something that's already obvious? No apology, because that would never occur to her. Nails are not even in thickness. THEY ARE SO THICK. Nonetheless, third appointment is supposed to be Friday and today (Wednesday) I get a text that says "I have to cancel your appointment on Friday". No further information, so Sherry, thank you so much for canceling my appointment on Friday, I cannot thank you enough. Your attitude is bigger than your talent. Take your chances, but good grief, self employed with an unwarranted ego. The reviews that talk about her attitude are not embellishing at all. The nails look like hippopotamus teeth rather than nails.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my experience. As you can see in the picture, my pedicure was supposed to be Cinderella blue with chrome on top. I paid an additional $15 for the chrome, but I honestly don't see any chrome on my nails. I was also a little confused while watching the application because she used her rubber glove to apply it. From my experience, chrome is usually applied with a sponge or applicator. The pedicure itself was probably the quickest pedicure I've ever received. There was very little cleaning or attention to detail, and when I got home, I had to clean the sides and underneath my toenails myself. I had a different person do the builder-gel fill on my hands. While she was doing my nails, I honestly felt like she wasn't very experienced with builder gel. My nails have never been this thick before. I also accidentally bumped one of my nails while putting my hand into the UV light because I was getting my pedicure and fill done at the same time, which put me in an awkward position. I pointed out the spot to her, but she looked at it and told me it was fine. I didn't feel like arguing because I already felt uncomfortable after they were discussing the fact that I wasn't sure what color I wanted for my hands. She asked me to show her a picture of what I wanted, so I did. Then she told me she couldn't do it. I was confused about why she asked to see the picture if she wasn't able to recreate it, especially since the design was simply purple with glitter. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially for the amount of money I spent. I was expecting more attention to detail and better communication.

To be blunt, our experience and the lack of billing transparency at Serenity Spa was a disaster…read more My friend signed up for the Serenity Signature Package for $320 - which included a Signature Facial and the Aromatherapy Massage. Before my friend was going to receive the facial, she was pressured multiple times by the esthetician that she could upgrade to the Pumpkin Peel Facial for an extra $80, to which she agreed to. All of this should have resulted in a $400 dollar charge and a 10% tip for a $440 charge. Somehow Serenity Spa ended up charging her $564.  After explaining the overcharges, the front desk receptionist assured me there were no overcharges. Then after looking further, after intense prompting, she admitted there was a $60 overcharge - she couldn't explain how she came to this number, which was still wrong. After insisting this was the only overcharge, the receptionist refused to address the remaining $60 overcharge and hung up the phone after accusing us of lying, which was incredibly unprofessional and irritating as my friend is an incredibly accomplished and pure hearted person. I'm not at all surprised at the litany of negative reviews about Serenity Spa and I would encourage everyone to steer clear of this place and their questionable, at best, transparency and billing practices.
