I called him on recommendation from the previous home owners, and he was very prompt in getting back to me. He had a great memory for the house and current state of the roof (which he hadn't done the original work on). He was happy for me to come up onto the roof with him, and thoroughly walked me through what was going on up there. He found the source of the leak confidently and efficiently, and was very honest about all the options, ranging from a short-term to semi-permanent solution, and the pros and cons of each. I felt he genuinely wanted to do the job right, and in as affordable way as possible for me. Since he fixed that area, I've had no further issues with water leakage in that spot. He was very upfront though that I had other potential problem areas on my roof, however, and sure enough a couple months later a leak in another area developed. This time the weather was a bit better so we went ahead with some additional proactive repairs as well as the source of the current problem. Again he talked me through options, and I felt he was upfront, honest and had good integrity. I hope to not need Frank again in the near future, but I certainly would call him again if I do!

We have been using Wei, the owner of CRR Roof & Reno for almost 15 years now…read more We've tried other contractors in the past, but found ourselves keep going back to Wei in the end. 1) Wei is multi-disciplinary. While most contractors only specialize in his/her own trade, Wei excels at almost every trade you can think of in renovation and homebuilding. From roofing to framing to drywall, from plumbing to electrical to HVAC, there just isn't a job Wei is not good at. Even if he doesn't do the work himself, he will point you in the right direction. For example: - When we hired Wei to fix a pipe leak in our basement above the hot water tank, he not only fixed the leak and repaired the drywall, but also capped some exposed electrical wiring found inside the drywall. While there he also looked around and pointed out issues with our basement sewer cleanout and floor drain, which he fixed on the next visit. - When we hired Wei to replace our windows and patio door, he also repaired the rotten window frame, fixed the lintel, caulked the flashing, and patched exterior brick mortars around the window. For both jobs, had we not used Wei we would end up spending a lot more time and money dealing with multiple contractors. 2) Wei is always straightforward and honest with his quotes. He stands by his quotes and doesn't compromise on quality. Other contractors may bid low or sugar-coat the problems just to get your business, and then change the scope of work and add on additional costs later, not Wei. From the start, he would point out the exact problems and the scope of work including what-if scenarios. He would offer several solutions for different budgets, but clearly explain the pros, cons, risks, and long term impact of each solution. Once quotes are accepted he sticks with them, even if the actual cost ends up being above his quote, he sticks with the original quote and doesn't compromise on the quality. If the actual costs end up being less, other contractors would just eat the difference, Wei would actually go the extra mile to expand the scope, upgrade the work, or reduce his original quote. Regardless of the homeowner's knowledge level, or whether the homeowner is onsite or not, Wei's work is consistent and high quality. It's very rare that he had to return a second time to fix his previous work. 3) Wei is local to downtown Toronto and is very knowledgeable and experienced with older houses in downtown Toronto, an expertise that's not easy to find among contractors from other areas of GTA. We recommend him especially for jobs on older houses in Annex, Little Italy, Chinatown, Seaton Village, Harbord Village, etc. In conclusion, having Wei is like having a trusted general contractor, a trusted home inspector, and multiple trusted sub-contractors, all at the same time! If there is any complaint, it would be that we'd wish he's not that busy so we can book him when we wanted - but on the other hand, it speaks of his popularity among his clients, most of them are long term clients that have stuck with him for many years.

The owner Wei did some work for me in May 2022 and told me that if anything was not done right to give him a call because he guaranty his work. The very next year, the leaky roof that they tried to fix was still leaking. The other job was not done properly either as the drain that they try to fix still created some flooding. I have been trying to get him to come in to fix these problems since September 2023 up until now May 2025. But he kept saying that he'll try to show up but he never did. The owner of this so-called CRR roof and Reno , Wei cannot be trusted and should not be in business. I will try to seek legal action, moving forward. I have a good case, as I have all the text saved on my phone stating that I paid for services that were not done right. And I have all the pictures from him and from me to prove it. Stay away from this person. Zero star if I could.

They didn't cover the roof with water and ice shield, plus they covered up broken boards and left nails and spikes through the roof.....who does that?! I called a number of roofers who were lining up jobs for a crazy amount of money and tell you that they can get to your leaking roof in the fall....that is outrageous! I took a chance and called "Justin's Leak free roofing" a cold call from a Yelp ad. It was one of the best cold calls that I've ever made!! I was so impressed by Justin and his administrative assistant Miro for their professionalism, reliability, and excellence in the quality of work. Justin fixed all of the broken wood planks (the others had covered up), showed us pictures of before and after each step of the all repairs and did a beautiful roofing job finishing with rake edging. The pricing was more than fair for this kind of detailing and quality. I never give reviews for any product or anyone, but Justin is worthy and deserving! After seeing the quality of his work, honesty, integrity and reliability, I highly recommend Justin. Our next door neighbours are really happy too (we're in a semi-detached and both of our sides done)! We'll be using him again, though we probably won't need him for some time! If you want a fantastic roofer who is hard working, pays attention to details, has amazing work ethics, is honest and fairly priced, Justin is the one you can count on! Laurel M.
