Lush is a boutique kind of shop selling soaps and all things related! They're local to the South, with they're base at Poole in Dorset. This is a good size shop, and if you get anywhere near the door you get a good whiff of what might be going on inside. Once you get inside theres lots of soap ideas and bath bombs, and huge amounts of gift ideas for christmas and birthdays. Oh Lush, how do i love thee? This is sadly the only Lush shop near me at the moment, and it hapens to be one of their smaller branches. But! It is a fabulous little store, full of all my favorites and polite, non-pushy and knowledgeable staff. I love this shop specifically because it stocks plenty of Vegan products. As well as being Vegan friendly, Lush source most of their products locally and Fair Trade-ly :P I love the fact that the enviroment features so much in their sales too. 95% of all Lush products come in recycleable packaging or reusable tubs (bring back 5 black empty tubs for a free facemask!) which appeals to my inner hippy lots too. You can smell Lush from the end of the highstreet most days. I know this can be off putting for some, but hey, cities could smell worse, right? ;P I persoanlly love the smell Lush puts out, i can never go to Southampton without paying it a little visit. Although i usually come home with more than a little! Lush also have a fantastic range of gifts, from gorgeous little boxes to massive hatboxes! I go here for friends birthday pressies 99% of the time. Lush can be quite pricey i suppose, but when you think about where the products come from and how they are made, it isn't anything really! Tiny, tiny shop, which aside from meaning less stock and range than most of the other Lush stores I've seen, also means you find yourself almost locked in with the smell, which personally i find suffocating so I cant stay in this shop very long. As with all Lush shops you can smell it long before you can see it, and somehow i actually found the smells coming from here even more overpowering than in other shops. The staff werent as pushy with sales as I've sometme experienced which made a nice change though! read more

Makes absolutely divine products - going in there is like a spot of therapy! Only disadvantages are: the size (it's pretty small - easy to knock things over), and sometimes the smell can be a bit overpowering, but overall you can pick up some great gifts and treats here at a not too hefty price tag. Just be careful with how much you spend in here, I've gone in there just intending to buy one or two small things, but have been overpowered and ended up with more than I should. Their bath bombs btw are expensive, but amazing - I got the christmas pudding one there last year and it was lovely. read more

I love lush! Get through the overwelming smell and enter a world of glittery baths and sumptuous bathing products which are made of natural products and so not only smell divine they also are great for your skin! Don't be put off by the bright colours, they are great for sensitive skin! This store you need to actually grab a member of staff as they are reluctant to come and give you a hand but do ask them for some demos as the have crazy stuff like solid shampoos which are great for travelling! read more

Really good shop with friendly staff who know about the products. They sell natural soaps, bath bombs, shampoo, face masks, lip balm, shower jellies, gift boxes and more. The shop always smells really nice and you can smell if from down the road. The products have good names, smells and colours. Some items are quite expensive. read more

You can probably smell this store before you reach it which is wonderful. I know a few people find the smell a little powerful but I think it makes a change from other shops. The store is well laid out with delights in every corner. The staff seem to know every little thing about the products which is fantastic. They are always there to help and answer questions and they give off the vibe that they love working there which is quite unusual! This is a shop located by the Bargate. You can smell it long before you enter and this can be a little offputting. However the products are really good quality and value for money. If you want to give something a little different, then you should have a look in here. Eco-friendly too, what more can you ask for! read more

I do love colourful soaps and everytime I walk past this shop I love smelling the sweet smells of soaps flavours coming out from this shop. It is quite a tiny shop but they do have some good old favourites. They sell sensitive skin soaps and the staff are helpful and friendly. Brilliant place to visit if you are interested in soaps and bath things. read more

I really love the smell that comes out of the lush shop. Everything smells yummy, they have a huge range of soaps and wonderful things for the bath and the shower. They also do some really great shampoo bars and deoderant bars that will not only cut down on the plastic packaging but are also really god value. read more

You know when you're near Lush as the wonderful smell hits you 10m away from the door. This shop is nicely laid out but can get a little chaotic when it's busy. The staff are really friendly and have an excellent knowledge of the products so don't be afraid t ask. The products can be a bit pricey but worth it as you know they are made from quality ingredients and in an ethical way. read more

I've seen Lush shops around for quite some time but had never gone in to any of them as I tend to get smellies from The Body Shop. However, I went in the Southampton store before Christmas, in a desparate attempt to get an Xmas present for my daughter. The staff were very young and, for some reason, that made me feel a bit awkward. However, they were brilliant. The guy came over to see if I needed help and pointed out his favourite product to me. His enthusiasm seemed genuine (a rarity these days!) and it was truly infectious. I got myself sucked right in and with good reason - the products are brilliant! I even bought something for myself. I also loved the fact that the gift boxes were beautifully decorated (the one I chose even had a little reindeer-type bell) and they ranged in price from £5 (for Secret Santas at work - a brilliant idea!) to, I think £40+. I don't know if it was just their Christmas range but my daughter's gift box had a 10% off voucher in there and was packaged with popcorn. (Much nicer than polystyrene or plastic).
