My mum can't get enough of their boxes of soap, and it certainly seems to be aimed at women. They do soap in bar and liquid form (I recommend the gift sets of three bars of moisturising soap in lavender and rosewater), body butters, moisturisers, massage oil and other goodies for baths, showers, pampering and luxury skin care. The costs are quite high - £11 for a gift set of three bars of soap, but they are good quality, luxury items and they last a long time. The staff are friendly and helpful and will ask if it's a gift, removing prices and packaging it appropriately for no extra cost. If there's a lady in your life who loves soap, she will feel really pampered to get something from here.

If i could get over the smell then i might actually buy goods from here as they are all very pretty, hand made and natural! But i literally just cannot get through the door thanks to all the soaps etc being uncovered and puncturing the air with their mixture of smells. It actually hurts my nose. No exaggeration. All be it, they smell good singularly. And they look good. And all girls (apart from maybe me) LOVE to receive them as gifts so i recommend if you need to buy a girl at home a gift then shop here, but bring a nose plug.

A good selection of baby products at the back of the shop/ Its also worth checking Superdrugs promotions as they have a lot of these. Usual if you want a snack as they have sandwiches, cold fizzy drinks, crisps and sweets. At Christmas they have a good selection of gift ideas all very reasonabley priced and offers such as 3 for 2 . I usually find they are the cheapest place for hair dye and my daughters like the jewellery which is on stands just as you walk in. They also sell stamps at the tills which has saved me trapsing across town several times.

When you first step into the shop, you are hit with a very sweet smelling flowery aroma which can take a bit of getting used to, particularly as you need to be able to smell the products you are buying! However, the selection is very good, albeit slightly pricy - a small block of honey smelling soap set me back £4.41 today - which I guess is priced as such due to the "healthy" ingredients and that it is "homemade". Still, I'm very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to using it!

I would say they're pretty similar to boots in what they sell as they also have a food section and mostly sell health care products and i would say they are also about the same size. Superdrug gives a 10% student discount if you have a UCAS card which is a perk however this is only available if you spend over £10. I'd say this encourages me to go there more often and spend more money. I would say superdrug is moderately priced, they do have some items a lot cheaper than others and do also sell some expensive products so whatever you want to spend superdrug can cater to your needs.

Beauty Base is a shop for discount fragrances and cosmetics. They may not always have the newest or…read morethe top-end fragrances but if you're looking for an oldie but goodie, this is the place to come. For instance, a 100ml bottle of Eizabeth Arden's Sunflower costs £12.99. This is one of my favourite fragrances and it's an absolute bargain at this price. You could probably get it cheaper on ebay but you wouldn't be confident it wasn't a fake - I've used loads of perfumes from Beauty Base and they are definitely genuine. My local outlet also has cosmetics, skincare and men's fragrances, all at discount prices. Newer perfumes don't have as much of a discount but are still good value.
