When I came for my…read moresecond appointment the receptionist ignored me for ten minutes even though I could see her and tapped on the glass multiple times to get her attention. I often use crutches and have problems walking and standing, so this left me in a good amount more pain then when I had walked in. When I saw the doctor and politely raised this concern with him he was dismissive, tried to tell me it was my fault I was being ignored, etc. He started repeating "how would you like me to handle it?" and my answer of "I would like this taken seriously" was returned with him telling me he was going to refuse to treat me. Not even kidding on the way out he specifically stated the reason for this was because I couldn't answer the question "How would you like me to handle it." I've encountered other doctors with god complexes over the years, but this one took the cake in its level of absurdity and bizzaro world-ness. I could have not been more polite or calm in bringing this up, and even asked him to close the door first so I could talk to him about it discretely. Super fragile male ego stuff going on with this guy. I would say not a good place to go if you're butch or MOC looking either. He was polite (or smart) enough not to say anything but I don't think he liked my queer-Ness.

After calling multiple doctors, Dr. Gibson was the only one willing to take me in as a new patient on such short notice. He was able to accommodate me and did something I wish most offices did, which was direct me to his website to fill out the new patient forms before going in. I love efficiency, and from past experiences, most doctors office's are not efficient. Unfortunately, my printer ran out of black ink before I could finish printing all the forms, so I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early. I entered the office and was greeted by Dr. Gibson professionally and courteously. I explained to him my printer situation, and he gave me the forms that I needed. I handed him the completed forms, and he invited me into the patient's room. In the room, he asked if he could evaluate me and I accepted. His evaluations involved some minor stretches and strength exercises. After performing the evaluation, I knew he was already better than the chiropractor I visit in Houston. I could tell he loves what he does by the way he got excited as he informed me of what my muscles were doing as I moved in specific directions. When you find a doctor like this, you want to keep them. I never felt rushed throughout the visit and he displayed some of the best bedside manners I've ever experienced. At the end of the visit, he mentioned having a contact in Houston who might be able to give me a chiropractor recommendation in the coming days. If you're an athlete and have sports-related pain this is the doctor you want to see. Don't be fooled by other chiropractors who specialize in older patients/accident cases.
