Thus, I was willing to hunt down the Sewing Studio while in Orlando for a conference. I was looking for fabric to make an Elsa costume for my granddaughter. I wanted the perfect sparkly fabric for my little "Elsa". The Sewing Studio Fabric Superstore has a large room of speciality fabrics. They had an entire hanging wall display filled with special brocades, another hanging wall display showcased wedding fabrics, while another hangin wall display had dance fabrics. I was impressed with the large wall of bolt bins of miscellaneous fancy fabrics. I took in a sample of the velvet fabric I already had for the dress and the associate patiently helped me find the perfect brocade to make a corset over the dress. She knowledgeable discussed with me the best way to wash and sew the brocade. She helped me find matching thread and made sure I had everything I needed to make the perfect dress. If you're looking for speciality fabrics, this is the place to go. If you're looking for quilting cottons, they have a large selection at good prices. This store was poorly run and in response to months of attempts to find resolution all I received was an email stating this matter had been resolved without a signature. That's right no name was signed, I do not know who this email came from. In my opinion, this store treated me unfairly and the manager, Jasmine Ortiz behaved unprofessionally by telling me they would remake my valances for 4 months and then reneging. Staff was super friendly and I was greeted throughout my entire store visit. I was offered help twice as well. I knew what I wanted and I grabbed a few things and checked out their clearance sections per usual. I got very rare vintage mechanical parts from Little Irene's shop as well. I could not find these parts anywhere online and am very happy to have these vintage pieces now. Mechanical vintage machines are not too popular nowadays so it's hard to find a shop who has parts and knowledge. Little Irene's has plenty of knowledge and parts! Manual operations on fully mechanical vintage sewing machines saves me lots of time and money from changing out broken needles to perform sewing on heavy material without needing to get an industrial machine, for which I have no space.. And let's not even mention weeks long power outage during hurricane season, when mechanical machines come in so handy. I am happy Little Irene's restored these machines and keeps them in service. Definitely, this is the most reliable and resourceful sewing machine shop!!!

Otherwise, I'll just end up wandering aimlessly up and down every aisle for hours finding a million things I want but don't need. And then I'll spend another hour talking myself out of every purchase lol. The good news is if I need anything craft related, they have it. But I can never find anything on my own. I almost always have to ask for assistance to locate items I'm looking for. In my floral design days, I was here on the reg for projects and I really liked exploring their dried & preserved floral selection that has continued to expand. I've scooped up some unique florals here in the past. Their current selection of dyed bunny tails is so good. I decided to stop in this past weekend to shop their sale on all the holiday decor. An instructor led us from beginning to end making a bowl. They were very thorough, patient, and welcoming. We sat down on the wheel forming our clay within minutes, I'd say we had our fully formed bowls within 30-45 minutes. They pulled them for us and began drying them for us to glaze at the tables with the turntables. The place was pretty empty so they let us take our time with glaze. Overall a great experience! Would definitely recommend for a date, family outing, or any other event. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit and there are memberships available as well!
