They didn't have anything inside so we got stuck put outside with anyone else who didn't have a reservation. this would have probably been fine but we were less than a meter away from the neighboring table. which meant I got to hear the gossip and drunken stories of a couple that was vacationing from London, I wondering if they are telling the same story but saying they heard ramblings of a Houston couple on their vacation. If this was the only problem then that wouldn't be that big of a deal but the staff gave awful service and had no interest in giving good service. I wanted to chalk it up to cultural difference but this was by far some of the worst service I got in Italy so I doubt that was why. I think they just didn't much care to give good service. The food was Okay but nothing amazing. I can confidently say that the best part was they make small pizzas so you are able to order two small pizzas for each person.

Anyway, they had fried appetizers, an eggplant layered little tower with tomato and mozzarella, ribollita soup, half boiled eggs topped with different sauces, a quiche, crostini and a deli tray. Then they brought a few pizzas but it was so soft it was difficult to eat without sitting. I wasn't that much impressed with the recipes, the one thing I really enjoyed was the ribollita. Since it is a mix between two cooking cultures, I will try to come and taste something special from the menu to see if I can give more infos about this place. I am very responsible as i went already twice and have been super slow and lazy until that point. I like the place a lot, it is really charming and well decorated, full of colors. First time was for pizzas (which is one of the big speciality) in July. They serve really big pizzas but you can ask for having half of one taste and half of another and then share with someone, which is what i would advise for reasonable appetite. Both me and my three italian friends approved the pizza: they are good. But please, with such a heat, put the AC. As good as pizzas were, i would not come back in summer with such a heat... It almost ruined the dinner. The second time i went was more recently (and with a reasonable temperature), and this time i had some meat, which was tender and tasty as often around here, plus a very good appetizer : a kind of millefeuille of eggplants, tomatoes and mozza: delicious. Two things to add: people are very welcoming, and you are offered a glass of prosecco which is nice. In brief: just put the AC in summer, and it will be perfect. (Note also that prices are somehow in the higher range for Florence, not super cheap).

Pizza e Dintorni doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside you will find great food, welcoming staff and a cozy, pleasant atmosphere. When we visit, we always get either the Carbonara Classica with spaghetti noodles or the Ricotta ravioli with either the Ragu di Cinghiale or Pomodoro Aglio, Basilico, Ricotta Stagionata. The Carbonara Classica is rich, flavorful and absolutely heavenly. It is one of the best versions of the dish that we have had since we've been in Italy. The Ravioli Ricotta themselves have a rich cheesy goodness, and have a subtle nutmeg flavor. They go great with most of the home-made sauces available. Our current favorite is the Pomodoro Aglio, Basilico, Ricotta Stagionata which bursts with fresh tomato flavor. The Ragu Cinghiale is hearty with an array of slow cooked flavor. We have also tried the Sala di Noci, which is a lush creamy nut sauce that deserves its own praise. Here's a breakdown of the sauces we've tried: 1.
