Since I haven't had any cause to use my insurance, I can't say whether it's a four- or five-star…read moreexperience, but I'm definitely pleased that Geico now offers local agents to work with (instead of just online quotes). I am NOT an insurance expert, so I really have no clue how much insurance I need without an agent to guide me. I found two local Geico agents available in the region, and it is very important to me to have a live human being to work with, so I sent an email to Jay's office. He looks about 16 in his website photo, but actually has over 15 years experience selling insurance, and he did a really good job. I have exactly the same coverage I had with my previous company and I saved... wait for it.... OVER $500. Yes, just like they say in the commercials. I don't know how they do it, but this is $500 per premium (twice a year), so that is over $1000 per year that Jay was able to save. I loved my previous insurance agent, but she couldn't get the price down on my auto policy, so I shopped around a little. Most policies were within $400 of my old policy, but Jay and Geico really came through for me. Nice agency, too -- Jay worked with my schedule and we communicated via phone, fax, and email so I didn't have to leave the office. I suspect I'll be doing business with this agency for a long, long time, unless Geico goes crazy with my rates like my last insurance company did!

Stephen proceeds to blame me for him and his staff's incompetence when it is their job to figure out why there's an issue so I have a seamless insurance experience. I had 3 policies and 2 would get taken out of my account just fine and for some reason the renters always had trouble. Him and his staff who have all of the information could not figure it out when I did it in 5 seconds. All I knew was 2 would work and one wouldn't. As soon as Stephen stopped throwing a fit for 2 seconds, he read out what he saw on his end and I saw the Debit (not credit as Stephen states but he's not bright as we can see) had just expired. Stephen could not figure that out. They never even tried to look at payment method and if that was an issue. They just stopped calling me to get the payment, sent me an email and sent me to collections for $27. I have been paying thousands of dollars for years and this is how they treat customers here. Any bill company, if the payment method you have on file expires they call and ask for a new/updated one. That's pretty standard practice. Maybe they are just lazy and are there to collect an easy check. He looks lazy and that culture just seeps out into his staff. I have no issues with Allstate as an institution and they have gotten any issues handled for me as far as accidents and break-ins went. Get Allstate just not from Stephen Kuhn. I spoke with corporate and they should be reaching out to him soon. Look at my past reviews. 99% are 5 star, detailed glowing praise of the establishment. I travel all across this great country, hundreds of businesses and this man is the worst business owner I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. 1.7 million views. That's how bad this man and his staff are that their job.

Had to email him several times over billing and was misled and treated poorly. He wanted to go tit for tat instead of help me with my policy problems. He didn't even care to lose a customer. So yes, I briefly tried Geico but James called and let me know that my homeowners insurance would go up by more than I was saving with Geico. Lesson learned -- since then I ask for apples to apples quotes, and nobody can touch State Farm. The Farmer's guy came out, swearing he could get me a better deal, and then ended up sheepishly admitting he couldn't come anywhere close to the deal I was getting with State Farm. James' office reached out recently to ask me to schedule an appointment to review my policies. I frankly suspected it was a waste of time and that they would just try to sell me higher coverage. I was quite pleasantly surprised though. James said I had pretty good coverage overall, gently probed about a couple things I might consider adding (no pressure though), and most importantly, he pointed out several opportunities I had previously overlooked, which altogether should save hundreds of dollars per year. So not only was I happy to have gone to the appointment, but ended up wishing I had done so years earlier!
