I found out about Aura Salon due to their stylist Jordan who used to color and cut a friend's hair. Jordan also did her updo for her wedding and it was beautiful. Jordan did an amazing job every time and I saw that this was her current salon on her IG. I asked the employee that booked me for someone that please could cut thick wavy hair since Jordan was unavailable. Lol I booked an appointment with Brittany for my cut since the employee on the phone mentioned her when listing stylists she recommended. Now you've got to be certain and committed to your appointment since they have a pretty strict policy. Where if you don't cancel or reschedule more than 48hrs in advance prior to your appointment then you will pay a percentage of the service. If you cancel within 48hrs of your appointment then you'll be charged 50% of total service cost. If you instead reschedule within 48hrs then you'll be charged 30% of total service cost. Not showing up to your appointment will result in you paying 100% of the total cost of the service. If you're running more than 15mins late then you'll need to reschedule or cancel causing the previous fees mentioned. This is strict but a 15min grace period is very reasonable to me. And hey cancel or reschedule sooner than 48hrs. Usually businesses enforce stringent policies like this because there was a customer who ruined it for the rest of us, I get it. When I 1st arrived I was greeted by a friendly front desk employee and she offered me wine, water, or iced coffee. Then unlike most I was impressed that iced coffee (not the wine) was an option and jumped on the opportunity for the coffee. Lol But it's awesome that they've got multiple options. That's the 1st time I've come by being offered a beverage at a salon. There's a cute little store or boutique you can spend sometime looking at too. Brittany was very sweet and personable. She was very detailed and took everything I mentioned into account along with making her suggestions along the way. She would check and ask if I wanted any changes or adjustments. It really felt like a personalized haircut tailored to my needs. Brittany was awesome all around and I'll definitely be coming back to her in the near future for my follow-up cuts. Then after seeing her coloring skills on her IG, I just might come to her for my future coloring needs also. Pricing may be more compared to some other salons but, you're not just paying for good quality and a service tailored to you specifically. You're also paying for an experience the minute you walk through the door and leave. Top notch customer service and great professionalism. Which is so refreshing now a days compared to customer service literally anywhere else. Aura has multiple talented stylists if you check out their IG you'll see what each of them are capable of.
