As someone who HATES having their picture taken, I was surprised at how comfortable I felt with Danielle behind the camera. I think our photos show our personalities/looks so well without any of the awkward cliche posing that makes me roll my eyes at other people's wedding photos. She did a great job of capturing the vintage eclectic vibe of our wedding and the beautiful snowy backdrop of our bridals. She was super helpful for the obligatory temple pictures and helped move family and friends along kindly and efficiently on a freezing day while still capturing great photos. Could not recommend more highly!!!

We hired Danielle to photograph our wedding after seeing her work on our friends' wedding. We were impressed with her work (mainly how well she managed the guests) on the day, and our initial impression was confirmed when we saw the photos come in. We booked her for both an engagement shoot and the actual wedding. Neither my wife nor I are particularly good at taking photos. We have a hard time taking ourselves seriously, and were a bit nervous about a long photo session. Danielle made us feel relaxed and freed us to have fun with the photo shoot. She gave us pointers about how to feel and look natural while she was snapping away. She has a great eye for picking out good locations and backdrops. Even locations we were a bit skeptical about came out very well. This gave us even more confidence in her abilities going into the big day. On the wedding day itself she captured all the key points, some touching and beautiful moments, positioned herself so she could capture those moments without really being noticed by us or the guests, and we like to think she had a good time while doing it. She also got a lot of photos of the place, decorations, and ambiance, which we didn't think to ask for and are very happy to have. Her editing work is detailed, subtle, and excellent. In addition to being stunning, the delivered photos were easy to work with and share. Danielle is a great talent. We're very grateful to have such wonderful photos of our big day. We highly recommend retaining Danielle for your wedding; her work is worth every penny.

A friend of mine bought me a gift certificate good for 1 session with Josh. He photographs…read moreeverything from pets to families to food. He's got a very unique style that simply stands out. We decided to drive out to his studio in Utah to get the full experience even though he comes out to L.A. every so often. I emailed Josh and had no problem setting a date/time that worked for everyone. After a very cold sleep deprived 24 hr roundtrip drive I can still say it was worth it. Josh is an all around great person. He even suggested local food/sites for us to see. As a photographer he was super friendly, informative and patient. My dog was trying to runaway and hide for a good while. He brought out several toys and even a blanket to put her at ease. He even changed the backdrop cuz he said some dogs freak out with too much white. Who'd have known? Anyway the raw pictures looked great so I'm really excited to see/order the final products. I love my dog and would never have even thought about having a professional take pictures of her but i'm so glad I did :) It's a unique gift to give/receive not to mention a very memorable experience :D I'd totally book him again in the future.

On the one hand, if you want a local company to handle things for you and you want one of the…read morebiggest little companies around in the sign and banner and display marketing biz, you've got the right folks. But the bigness of the company almost works against them. One of the reasons I often choose local companies is because of the kind of service and attention I get. When you order with them, there's a real push to do it online. That's great if you know what you need and what you're doing, but for someone who doesn't have this stuff made every couple of months it could be difficult and you may find the service at a smaller shop to be more up your alley. In a world where online printing companies are now super, super, UBER cheap it's often going to be more affordable to just send it off to Texas or California, even with shipping. I mean, if I'm submitting it all online anyway it becomes a pure price game. The good news is that they are local and real people do work there, so you can work a little closer with them if you need to. They've been around a long time and can handle just about any size project. And it's not just banners--they do tablecloths, car wraps, stand up banners, window banners (decals? wraps?) and a whole host of other promotional or products. Give the website a whirl if you're curious, but realize that if you're going to get a banner or project done just online, you can do a little research and save some money. Hopefully they'll be willing to walk you through it if you go in or pick up the phone.

A couple years ago I fell into representing a nonprofit (for which I volunteer AND do freelance…read morework) at events. After manning a table at a couple of events I was hooked and sought to improve the professionalism of our presence. The first thing I needed was signage with a stand. A Google search led me to Sugar House which had the largest selection of banner fabrics and stands, I designed what at that time was an awesome piece, they did a beautiful job of printing it, it arrived in plenty of time for my next event, and the durable banner and stand continue to serve me well. Their after-sale service was incredible - I received several emails asking if everything was to my satisfaction and requesting a photo of my banner in action. This photo is still on their website! They're not the cheapest, but you can't beat their quality, selection and service. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for full-service banner work.
