Last Fall, when I winterized my summer cottage for the cold North Woods winter ahead, I did as I…read morealways did: removed the plugs on the housing for my water pump so that no water would be left in the pump to cause it to freeze and break. However, when I arrived at the cottage two days before the Memorial Day weekend, I was extremely disappointed (a gross understatement) to find that the hole for one of the plugs in the water pump was stripped, so that I could not screw in the plug and get the pump going even after almost four hours of effort in my mosquito infested utility room. In desperation, I called a local plumber, who as it turned out was out of town. His office then referred me to Hedberg. Notwithstanding their busy schedule for the Memorial Day weekend, they managed to come out by noon the next day and not only resolved the problem but replaced the plug with a check valve that does not require me to remove the plug for winterizing (so that no water is left in the pump to freeze and break it over the cold winter). On all fronts, their service was truly outstanding (perhaps heroic would be a better word), and I would strongly recommend them to you.

They assessed the system and found a bad pressure tank. Once that was fixed they powered up the pump and it blew a breaker meaning the pump was also drawing too much voltage. They removed the submersible pump and replaced it, all within about 2 1/2 hours. Both service persons were polite and told me what was going on. Although they were extremely busy and short handed, they got to my place before Memorial Day and fixed my issues. I had multiple issues, from dead mice in my well to pressure issues in my cabin. I called Morin and Johnson and they were the only ones that responded to me in a timely manner. The owner is very knowledgeable, and he will usually try and get as much information as possible over the phone before he starts the job. After calling 6 well service companies in the Marinette area, Morin was the only one with experience in dealing with dead rodents in wells, as he had prior experience with that issue before. I called him, told Him the issue, and he came with his crew and got The job done swiftly. He blew out my well, cleaned the bottom of my well, flushed it with a bleach solution to sanitize, replaced my well pump, along with excavating to locate my old bladder tank, removing and bypassing the old tank to install a brand new pressure tank Inside my cabin. I have clean water again and the best pressure I've ever had. He was Also very affordable.
