No answered phone calls, always too busy, and when the time came when I really needed her to complete the separation agreement, it was done completely wrong. After that, I switched attorneys. This was after over $12,000 was spent, with no refund. One of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had to go through. She leans towards women clients, if this helps anyone out there.

The worst lawyer ever. He should be disbarred. Offered to…read moretake my case on contingent. Then wanted $5000 and a lower percentage so I paid him. He did NOTHING for several months then told me he wouldn't handle the case. Refunded $1200 and said he spent $3800 worth of time on the case. I contacted another lawyer who told me I'd probably have won the case but Holland had let the statute of repose expire. Told me I should sue Holland. I tried but couldn't find a lawyer willing to sue another lawyer. A few weeks later I received a letter from the insurance company saying they had never been contacted by my lawyer. So Holland did absolutely NOTHING but take my money and sit on the case long enough that I couldn't pursue it. He TOTALLY screwed me and I could not find another lawyer willing to sue him (as I was advised) for mishandling the case.

Then a year later when I called back to try and get some details about it, he seemed to not remember it or have the correct records. You would think after a 15k case he would at least have the correct records or a working memory. But he apparently just pulled the case up from the court files (not his own) and couldn't tell me anything beyond that, he didn't even remember the case or the deal he made with the judge which is I had questions about. The man cares more about his suit an being walking distance to the court house than he does about any of his cliets.

Mrs Patrick dismissed my case intending to refile and did it WRONG. The opposing attorney told her TWICE that she was doing it the wrong way. As a result my entire case was dismissed. I had to allow her to fix her mistake . The NC bar has already agreed she did indeed mess up. She lost the appeal and Rule of 60 (do-over) cases. As a result...I got nothing- no child support, alimony OR retirement. She has the least amt of liability insurance an attorney can get (100k) and NOTHING is in her name. I paid her over 50K- she had to do an appeal and rule of 60 for free. She now has several attorneys representing her, and their attorney fees are paid by liability insurance. She refused to settle or discuss a settlement. I never felt she had my back, intentionally put things off, and was a terrible advisor. We never had a meeting before mediation, she was never prepared, and always seemed lost when appearing in court, and was dominated by the opposing attorney. I do not recommend using her !
