The little shop/ cafè is tucked between multiple buildings on Severinstrasse and is easily missed. Never a lot of customers in the shop but its unusual vibe intrigued me, which is why I gave their small lunch menu a try.
I ordered pasta ragu. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly, but the sauce left a lasting impression (not a good one).
Judging by the texture of the meat and extremely high temperature I suspect it was heated in the microwave. Wouldn't have bothered me too much since I was quite hungry, what did was the amount of oil that was used. It formed a ca 3mm deep puddle of greasiness on the bottom of my plate.
After me remarking the unusual oiliness the owner schooled me that Neapolitan cuisine is always oily, "it has to be like that" and then asked whether it was in fact my first time at Ludari. Yes!
