After I week I called and asked to see if my items are ready .she told me that she was not finished and to go by the following day. When I went she had not even started working on my dresses . She asked me to come back the following day . I told her I would go back in 3 days so she would not have to rush . I went back today and she had not altered any of my items . I decided to take them back and find another seamstress . Very disappointed with her attitude and her lack of professionalism.

I requested Elizabeth, owner of Elizabeth Boutique hem a…read morewedding dress for me. As a former home economics teacher, I am both trained and have the knowledge to hem a dress. However, I paid Elizabeth to hem my wedding dress. I had basted the hem in place and all she had to do was use her sewing machine to make the permanent hem. When I went to pick up the dress, the dress was 10 inches to short. She did not take responsibility for the mistake instead she told me those were the measurements we had taken. I quickly reminder her that the hem was already basted in place and there was no excuse. After she made several unacceptable recommendations, I told her that the only remedy for the dress was to redo the entire skirt. That proved to be disastrous! She cut the fabric "off grain" and totally changed the flow of the dress. I am not a vindictive person; however, I would never recommend Elizabeth or her shop to anyone! When I dropped off my dress, I thought we both understood the expectation and that she personally would be the one working on the dress. Needless to say, I will not be wearing this ill fitting dress to my wedding

TL;DR: Very unprofessional. Didn't do my stuff in the time frame and did it day of when I came…read moreback. Almost got someone else's pants back. Very unprofessional. Went there to get some pants hemmed on a Wednesday. Put them on, pinned them up, said they'd be done next Friday. No biggy right? All should be good? Wrong. I had to go out of town unexpectedly that next Thursday and tried to call the number on the listing to alert him to find out the number was disconnected/not updated. No biggy, I'll just see him when I get back and I'm sure he'll understand right? Well fast forward to the next Tuesday (the week after I was supposed to pick them up), to find the open sign lit up with no one there. Call the number on the sign outside to find this time it works. Well, he doesn't remember me, sounds confused, and said he'd be there in like 5 minutes. Gets there, we go in, and to find out, HE HASNT EVEN DONE THE HEM. Almost 2 weeks and never touched it. He hands me some pants that look like mine to get them hemmed again because it seemed like the pins came out, but to find out, they weren't even mine! My pants were on some clothes pile hung over the dressing room door. Not marked. Not notated as to who's who's. Nothing. The only reason I found them is because the brand they were and they stuck out to me when I went looking. He hemmed them there, left some kind of stain or some liquid on a part of the legs and everything. Which I took to the cleaners after to get cleaned. Then, after everything said and done, ask me to rate him 5 stars. Very unprofessional and will find any other service out in HRL to go to next time instead.
