This is a very small building, I cannot get the phone to answer, and I see no exercise equipment.

It…read morejust opened last week, but Queermunity is a community gathering place and resource, coworking space, cafe, and events hub dedicated to creating space for the LGBTQ+ community in the Twin Cities, but it stands out from similar places by being free! They have optional paid membership tiers for extra perks like discounts on cafe purchases, events, rentals, etc., but anyone is free to visit and gather in the common spaces, which I think is so important. Aside from providing a welcoming gathering space, they provide a ton of free resources--they host monthly programming like movie screenings, discussions, wellness events, and beyond; they have a free resource wall (available for checkouts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 4-8pm) with things like canned goods, hygeine supplies, sexual health supplies, etc. available to community members in need; and they also have gender-neutral single-stall bathrooms, one of which has a shower available to use if needed, too. They've got a ton of just for-fun stuff too--craft tables, a library, a ping-pong table, and a small market area with goods by local queer makers. There's free parking on some side streets nearby, but you can also purchase discounted validated parking for the Seven Points ramp at the front desk. It seems to be almost entirely volunteer-run, so I'm definitely going to be looking into how I can get involved with the awesome work they do!

Outside of the incredible resources and community this place offers, they also have some great coffee!!!! I got their brown butter drink and it was so delicious. Definitely on the sweet side though. We got to the community center around 5:20 and the line was outside and on the sidewalk. No issue, it was a beautiful evening and we were with family. The line moves relatively quickly, they had a lot of volunteers helping and when you get inside and pay you can experience some live music and dancing. They have a bar while you wait and in the dinner hall. The Fish Fry was very good along with the, fun addition, of pierogies. Which was very good. You get two pieces of deep fried fish, 3 or 4 pierogies, a handful of fries and coleslaw. The quality was good, flavorful and filled you up. My family had good reviews of the food, one even said it was their favorite this year. With over 1000 people attending each week, during lent, expect to wait, it's worth it. It's all about community, friends, relatives, the cause and the food.

Get here for the Friday Fish Fry and Pierogi dinners!!…read more You can access their website (here on their Yelp page), follow the links for Events and sign up for their awesome Friday holiday dinner between now and 08APR2022. All tips go to their Ukrainian Support foundation, so you are doing good while you are eating well AND staying out of the kitchen! For $14 dollars you can have a platter of pirogi (yum!) or a combination of fried fish and pirogi. You also receive coleslaw, fries and dessert! The pickup is safe - you stay in the car - and their helpful runners will bring it out to you. Check out my pictures, this adorable pirogi character sold me a commemorative pin (only $5!) to show my support for Ukraine. Very yummy, super heart-warming and the most fun I've had in my car in years; get here, the event only runs a few more weeks!

We had my nieces birthday party at this venue, and will NEVER have another birthday party here ever…read moreever ever again. We WILL take the children swimming here, but this is not CURRENTLY the place to have a birthday party. Ambiance: Everything was looked fine, clean, put together... I had no issues with how the place presented itself. I honestly thought their bathrooms were pretty clean and appreciated it as my Goddaughter changed in their stalls for the swimming portion of the party. Service: Here's where the issues begin. My nieces mother had requested a bday party for a group of 30, that dwindled down to about 15 or 16 children. If my memory serves correctly for what she was charged, you are provided hot dog, chips, kool aid/juice and bday cake. She was asked by MANAGEMENT if she wanted balloons and confetti, to which she enthusiastically said, "Yes!" Only to enter the room and it was empty and asked about her balloons and confetti and was provided an, "Oh, I was talking about on the cake." #wompwomp Upon her arrival, any question she asked the young lady at the front desk was met with an idk and/or irritation. We asked for a mop for the room, so that kids didn't fall upon coming into the party room from the pool, since there was a ton of water in there, we didn't get it for quite some while. Upon my nieces mothers arrival, not the kids attending the party arrival, the staff tried to bring in the hotdogs, so that they could eat cold hot dogs after swimming. LOL When she suggested that they wait to bring them out, she was met with irritation.. yet again. HERE'S THE KICKER! When it was time to go, we packed the room up and tried to downsize the trash for them and put all of the remaining birthday cake (a personalized cake and A LOT of cake left at that) and juice/kool aid to the on a table in the room and went to the pool to let the kids finish swimming. We came back and guess what? The staff came and ate the cake and finished the juice. #gasp whaaaah the heck! Their response: We thought you were done. No apology. Nothing. Do NOT HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY THERE. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
