Clean, modern facilities. Although right now there seems to be some construction work going on... wonder what it'll look like once it's complete? I was here for the Eagan Indoor Market (select Wednesdays) being held in one of the gathering rooms on the lower level. It was a bit smaller than I'd been anticipating from the list of vendors on the website, but it was still nice to browse local small businesses, and I'm glad the community center makes the time and space for folks to do so. While there, I scoped out what appeared to be the "main attraction" so to speak, the fitness center, which has a large gymnasium, equipment, and an indoor track. They had plenty of showers, bathrooms, water fountain/bottle refill station, coat racks, vending machines with beverages and snacks, and a place to get changed and such. Seems really nice, but the pricing online seemed a bit steep to me ($40/mo.); a shame, my husband and I have been looking for an indoor track so we can run in the winter without worrying about slipping on the ice! There's also an indoor kids playplace ($8 fee) on the upper level and a senior center on the lower level. So they are trying to cater to all ages here. The parking lot is quite sizable, so no worries about finding a place to park (unless of course there's a big event going on at the festival grounds!). There are plenty of outdoor amenities in the surrounding Eagan Central Park too, such as a kid's playground, splash pad, fitness course, walking paths, and bandshell. There's also a postbox near the entrance of the building if you need to drop off some mail while you're here. read more

Visited on a Sunday for a kids birthday party. They have an inside jungle gym for kiddos and it was a lot of fun. I wish the space was a little bigger as it can get a little crowded in the little space in front of the gym but all in all had a great time. Easy access to bathrooms near by as well along with a small party room connected. read more

I attended a event at this location for a training. The building is in fantastic. The room I was in was ballroomeque. I noticed they had a kids sale happening (clothing, toys, equipment, ect...) in the gym on the same level and there was quite a line so it was a happening place. They also had some private rooms available for birthday parties which were occupied as well In the room we were in, I couldn't help but notice there is a nice trail out back that lines a river or pond. There was so many adorable dogs out walking :) The parking was ample and easy to get into the building from the lot. Looking at yelp, it looks like I only experienced a tip of the iceberg at this place and there is so much to offer for the community here which is amazing! read more

I was at a Homeshow event here in the gymnasium area and it was very large and they put on a great show and everything was flowing very well even though there were a lot of people. I didn't have a chance to walk around the entire place, but I could tell it was newer and have a ton to do here. I did get to see the indoor kid playing area and looked pretty cool with the different things you can do and the artwork. They also have a great outdoor area with a band shelter for summer shows, etc. read more

I came here for a wedding, so I only probably got to see half of the community center. It's nice, walking down the stairs pretty much the left side of the building was where the wedding was held. It was plenty of space for the amount of people were there. I would say around 100 people in total. Don't know anything else other than I thought there was plenty of room. The big conference center was split in half, one half for the short ceremony portion, and then the other the reception. It was nice, as you didn't have to drive anywhere for the reception and it was right there. Anyways, if you're looking at wedding/party venues, this place could probably be on your list. The wedding was wonderful, but we didn't stay that long as there was a long drive ahead of me the next day. I didn't check out the other half of the Community Center, but it looked like it had a whole gym. read more

$4 gets you in the door for an hour or two of fun for a child aged 3-7. This place is clean, well staffed, and the staff is not afraid to be friendly and helpful. Great job, Eagan! read more

We had my daughters wedding at ECC and have all good things to say about it. They are very organized and efficient. They are involved in all the planning and everything came together perfectly. The facility is beautiful and we got many compliments on how nice it was. We are very happy we chose this center for both the ceremony and reception. This review is for the playground. Brought the kids here for lunch. This is one of the few that actually has picnic tables right there. I set up lunch while the kids played and then we ate. I was able to sit at the table and watch them play. There was plenty to entertain the kids. There was a nice shade tree for a reprieve. There was exercise equipment there too, across the pathway. Lots of walking paths. The area was clean and relatively quite, considering how busy it was. There's a splash pad not far off, though it wasn't up and running yet. This might be my favorite for lunchtime play. read more

Used to hit the Blast with some regularity a couple of winters ago. It is cool because not only is it a spaceship-themed play structure but they often also have an open gym next door, which creates a little more variety. The staff at the desk are friendly. It is not as big as Eagles Nest in Woodbury, but I like the set-up better. My four year old had her BD party there and it was good fun. The kids could sugar up and hen go nuts climbing, running, chasing and sliding. Fun times. read more

Went to The Blast for the first time as we were visiting some family in town, and needed a place for my kids to run around and burn off some energy. The young lady working the counter was not too friendly and didn't really bother telling us where anything was. The space has some great climbing things, tubes, and slides. I did like that you could see through a lot of the structures and netting, so it made it easier to watch/see your kids while they played. The price is great! (Only $3 per child, versus a lot of the other indoor play structures that are at least $7 or $8 per child.) There is a little area for smaller kids (too close to the bigger structure, in my opinion), but it only has 1 small slide, some blocks on a partition to spin, and some cushion mats/steps on the ground that can be moved around to be jumped/stepped on. *BUT, that area for smaller children is NOT partitioned off, and like I said earlier, is really close to the bigger structure, so the "bigger" kids end up running around and into that area as well. read more

Not too bad for the price, my biggest issue would be the lighting... It's super dark in here, especially inside the play structure. Kinda has the feeling of an old arcade. There is a place for younger kids, but it's insanely small and pretty much useless. The City of Eagan likes to change it's schedule without posting anything online, so we've learned to call ahead first. Worth a visit, or two, but nothing more. read more

We were just at the Eagan Community Center for my cousin's wedding last Saturday. What clean facilities and spacious for that matter. I love the good size dance floor as danced some of the night away. The bar tenders were very kind and served in a timely manner. I loved the outdoor setting of lawns and the nice court where the wedding took place with the fountain nearby. What a wonderful place. Keep up the good work guys.! read more

Don't go here. Several of my friends' car windows were found broken with items stolen. An employee said that this has happened before. They obviously don't want to put up cameras and therefore allow this car theif to get away every weekend that he/she comes around. We had a great wedding until this all happened. I wish this community center would have at least warned us instead of letting the theif get away. Don't go here if you can. If you must go because you've put a deposit down or you've been invited, make sure you have insurance because this community center doesn't give two cents about being responsible and warning you about this car theif that makes their weekend rounds. read more

I feel like this is geared towards a little bit older kids. I brought my 2 year old here and there really wasnt much for him to do. The large play area was great for the older kids but the little ones only had a small slide and were getting run over by all the older kids playing tag around the toddler area. So I felt the $4 was a little much as I have payed the same or less for playgrounds with more of a toddler area. On the positive side it was very clean and had a nice concession area right out side the play area. read more

If you go there on a day pass DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR I.D. OR KEYS! I was there today (1/31/15) to use the track on a day pass and gave them my driver's license. When I finished and returned my pass to the front desk they handed me some woman's license. When I told them it was not my license they looked around and could not find my license. They assumed they gave my license to the wrong person as it appears they don't have a procedure to look at the picture and name on the license before handing it to someone. They looked up this person's phone number and left a message but they were not sure it was the correct phone number. They didn't seem to be too concerned about what had happened - they said we will just have to see if this person calls back and you can come back to get your license - instead of someone making any extra effort to get my license back. Anyway I called back a few hours later to check the status and spoke to Tim (who was very apologetic and nice) and said they now have the Eagan police tracking down the person they believe has my license. The Eagan Community Center apparently feels they should not be bothered with this anymore and let the police fix it instead - I'm sure the police have more important things to do than track someone down who did nothing more than going to the Community Center. Anyway we will see if I get my license or if I will have to rearrange my schedule to get a duplicate license... read more
