With two weeks left till our wedding date, my now-husband and I decided we wanted to take some dance classes for our first dance. After reaching out to several instructors in the area for availability, we decided on Lucy Yoo due to her flexibility and willingness to work with our last-minute schedule (which was so gracious of her). I feel so lucky that we found her. In just two lessons, she was able to help us create a sweet choreography for a song that isn't very well-known, but one that we were partial to. I was initially worried that having too much choreography in our first dance would lead to us not being able to enjoy being with each other in the moment, but that definitely was not true at all! Her choreography had nice moments of just swaying and holding each other in our arms, and there were still some unique moves that felt very graceful. Also the classes were so fun! She has a great sense of humor, makes us feel comfortable, and gives great feedback on how to move with another person's body. Her feedback is so precise-and I only found out afterwards that she also teaches dance classes at UC Berkeley.
