When I first went here they had a different supply that worked much much better with my hair and I will be forever thankful they gave me those tools. However when I went the first time Aleca did my hair great! It was soft to the touch I had ringlet curls that flowed in every direction. Now though aleca did my hair and whatever product they use now is causing my hair to be crunchy, not soft. So I thought hmm it still looks alright she cut my hair fine. So I go back again and get a different lady because I saw her doing hair and liked how the other girls hair looked. I get to the salon and unfortunately I chose the wrong girl haha my bad. Shana is who I had I think that's her name, she's nice and I think she's good at cutting hair. I gave her inspo of how I wanted my curls to look and unfortunately she did not deliver. I told her you have to manipulate my curls, I wanted them defined and I wanted ringlet curls. My hair is frizzy wavy and curly all in one, I'm mixed. All she did was scrunch my hair, my hair doesn't look curly to me is looks like noodles or an example or prince/Michael Jackson when their hair was scruntched hahaha. But there isn't a single ringlet in my hair even though I get those anyway when my hair is natural. Also my hair came out hard again like the kind of hard you get with gel. I'd like to say I don't hate this place but I haven't been as pleased as the first time.

Stating that one braid is $20, but two braids is considered a wash and style, costing $30. I have reviewed the website and cannot find pricing to verify this difference and feel it was at the whim of the manager, knowing I'm not going to disappoint my daughter once already at the salon.

I walked into the location at 4:07 (my appointment was at 4:00). There was no one at the front desk and there was a lady cutting hair. She told me someone would be with me in a moment. I waited a few minutes with my children as she finished up the toddlers haircut. After, she then came to check me in and said she she was going to grab my son's stylist Bree. I asked if my son could pick a car and she said yes, as long as there wasn't hair in it. My son picked a car and got in. After a few moments, our stylist Bree walks out from the back and informs me she will be unable to cut my son's hair. She told me that there is a strict 10 minute late policy and that she is fully booked for the day. I explained to her that I was here and inside before 4:10 and she comments rather rudely that i was wrong, that it was WELL AFTER 4:10 and that they have a timestamp clock. What really irks me is that as it was my appointment time, she should have been at the front desk waiting for us to arrive to promptly check us in as it was during our slotted appointment time. Due to the fact she was in the back and stayed there, I had to stand in the front lobby for a few minutes, so of course by the time I was checked in on the computer by another stylist finishing up a haircut, my check in time was going to be later than when I walked in... Also, these ladies allowed my toddler to get in a chair and you had to imagine how distraught my toddler became when I told him he had to get out of the car and that we had to leave. This caused huge emotional stress on his end and mine that was extremely unnecessary. If I was past my time (which I was not), I should have been told that right at check in and my son to not have been let back to the chairs. I did not argue with the hairstylist and simply left with my kids. At that point I was not going to dispute her and then have her anywhere near my son. As I gathered up my kids, put them both in car seats, loaded up a stroller into the car, and got into my car it was 4:14. There is just no possible way that I had arrived "WELL AFTER" with all that occurring. I am disgusted, and so disappointed with this business. Extremely unprofessional and poor service, especially due to the attitude of the stylist. I sat in the car looking up where else I could take my son that day and not one person came into the store until 4:30. Both ladies were in there alone not cutting hair. I just don't understand why else she would deny us our timeslot when we were present. I have had a positive experience at the Worthington location, it was my first time at Gahanna, so it was a huge disappointment to see such terrible customer service (especially to a toddler that was so excited to be in his car with Paw Patrol on to watch and who then doesn't understand why he's being asked to get out and leave).

According to my calculations, the last haircut should have been free (minus the tip) due to the additional 35 minutes of waiting over the last 2 visits. She showed us how to put her hair up so her growing bangs wouldn't get into her eyes. At the end, Christi took a picture of my daughter & gave us a certificate & a baggie of hair clippings. Price was extremely reasonable. I'm very happy with the service received here and we will definitely be back.
